Very disappointed

I expected more after the reviews I had read, but I was very disappointed. I had stayed at this hotel over 15 years ago and not much had changed. The bathrooms were renovated and the carpet in the rooms had been replaced, but not much ch else had improved. The beds were uncomfortable and I was very surprised to find metal frames holding the mattresses. The furniture was old and damaged. Overall not what I was expecting.

Excellent value for money

An absolutely gorgeous lobby, dining area, courtyard, and pool area, recently renovated. The room was unexpectedly roomy, with a king-sized bed and room for two upholstered armchairs and a large table. Reading lamp behind one chair. Coffee maker, microwave, and refrigerator. Staff were all helpful, pleasant, and accommodating. More than ample parking. Excellent value for the money. Minimal continental breakfast (bread, bagels, English muffins, cereal, yogurt) with the vilest coffee I've ever tasted (it's not Community, regardless of what the urns say). The cons : No desk in the room, a definite lack in a hotel near a conference center. The usual minor issues -- clogged sink, torn shower curtain, mold/mold stains on the caulk in the bathroom, bathroom door wouldn't close completely, no body lotion (in this climate, it matters). In-room coffee maker leaked. The cord was too short to plug it in without moving it to the dresser. They claim to be ecofriendly, but towels were changed every day.

Most importantly, the room was very clean, specifically the bed, the bedding and the bathroom and shower. The room also smelled clean as we walked in. Not musty at all. The front desk staff was pleasant and helpful. It’s an older property that needs a little bit of TLC, but they are working on it which was good to see. It looks like they’re undergoing a complete renovation. I hope they leave some of the original charm. The bed was very comfortable. We had a good nights sleep. Next time I’m in Las Cruces I would definitely stay here.

NOISE

The hotel is nice if a bit dated, but there was so much noise all night!! I’m not sure what was going on at the attached building Club 30 but the people were coming in and out and it echoed through the hallways. At 11pm i heard someone screaming. The breakfast lady was super nice though, 11/10 for all service people i spoke with.
