Pass this one up…

Walk in to hotel reception to find a very smoke filled casino with many low income locals wasting their money and of course, smoking. Plenty of thug-like characters hanging out at front entrance. Kind of scary to leave the car in the open parking lot overnight. Was given a large room with king bed which was good, but the room had a slightly perfumed and musty odor. Could not open the window even slightly, as it was screwed shut. Very stuffy to say the least. Asked for another room, but apparently, none of the windows open in any of the rooms. Super weird…Walls are very thin and could hear everything ( and I mean everything!) the neighboring rooms are doing. The room rates are very inexpensive, so I should have been suspicious of the high ratings the hotel received. This is the second worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The worst is in Wells, Nevada…go figure…

This property is very poor, its not clean. We ask for a non-smoking room, but the cigarette smell was in the room, the vents were clog of smoke, the smoke smell was in the bed sheets, no good.

I’m not from the area but I do love Vegas. We came to check up on our wedding venue and see how our plans may need to be adjusted. This place was not for our demographic. The building is somewhat dilapidated. The ground is unlevel in spots, which my fiancé did not like as he got out of the shower. The showers have a fold down shower chair and handlebars for the elderly, which is great for accommodations, but kind of depressing for the vibe and made the shower intimidating to maneuver. The smoke was somewhat higher than a typical casino. We did see a 70 year old man gambling and chain smoking with his at least 90 year old mother in a rolling bed taking a nap, which was interesting. The sourdough cafe is quite good and I recommend getting anything with the jalapeño cornbread. The beer selection is lacking and the bar isn’t one I’d go for. The room itself was fine. I had to unplug the minifridge at night because it was keeping me awake with a rather loud almost breathing or wheezing noise. My final complaint is that when I inspected the bed upon entering the room, the only blanket had shreds of toilet paper or a tissue dried onto it, of which I can only imagine what it may have held. I can get past this stuff and I still intend to return for my wedding but it was very much like visiting a grandparent that no one is sure how much time they have left. I will say nearby has a lot of excellent things. There’s a couple of little comic shops and an antique shop with good pieces.

The casino itself was pretty dirty but rooms were decent for the price. Toilet didn’t work properly and would take an hour to fill up with water and no one came to fix it. Very smoky but we aren’t too bothered by that knowing it’s an under casino.

It's ok of a price.

The beds were uncomfortable and the pillows were flat and only give u one pillow for each bed if ur a family of 4. They had only one door for the shower. I mean if you just want a room zo rest your head for cheap then go for it. It is decent.

Arizona Charlie’s dropped the ball. They are typically one of our favorite properties to frequent when needing a night away from home. Unfortunately this last visit left a very bad impression on us. Our stay was typical all the way up until the morning of checkout when my ex boyfriend was not only given the room number my fiancé and I occupied but was given a key card to access the room. After the shock of him barging into our room unannounced wore off, my fiancé went to the front desk for an explanation of how this could happen. He was told security would be investigating the situation and a call to us would be made within an hour. After an hour and a half without a call back my fiancé went back to the front desk to follow up and find out what they found. They explained my ex boyfriend posed as my fiancé but left his ID in the room. Security then escorted him to our room where he entered without permission. He was not vetted or made to prove who he was and put our lives and privacy in danger. This is unacceptable and should be addressed. He has been known to carry a gun and if this went another way I would not be here to share this awful experience and warn future guests. The only solution or compensation that was offered was to inform the front desk at checkin to keep our information private. That does not help with the trama and monetary inconveniences incurred because of their negligence. I would be wary to stay here again and hope no one else has to go through this.
