suite was fab, saturday night in downtown is VERY LOUD and you can hear some sort of noise coming from a club in the area all night but tbh I would have been able to sleep through it usually. hotel is under renovation so not all bars / places to eat that they have listed were open / available.

We stayed 6 says instead of 7 since flight was delayed. We got to our room and went to get ice. Ice machine was broke the whole time. Staff stated to go to the bar and get ice. The bartenders charged us 2.00 for. A cup of ice on more then one occasion. Security came by at night once about a hour. Homeless people sleeping on the sidewalk ( right where we needed to walk back to our hotel) Takes 5 of them to get one guy sleeping on the sidewalk away from the building. Soda machines don't take quarters. Only dollars…..My husband has artificial knees the toilets sit low to the ground ( with no grab bars for grabbing. Loved the stay 5 years ago.… Thats why we went back this time…. Never won anything at this casino…..Most likely will not be back!!!

Love the El Cortez! Stayed in one of the original 47 rooms, it was awesome. The history made it all the better. Clean, easy check in, just all around good experience.

I have already submitted a complaint to the property, but we were highly disappointed in our stay. We ended up having to leave around 10:45pm last night to drive home because the blaring music of a local bar was so loud that it was rattling our windows and we could not sleep. Upon arrival, our AC did not work and we had to have someone come out to fix it. Then later on the TV did not work and we had to have someone come out again to fix that. I also requested assistance with our bags because I recently underwent spinal surgery and cannot lift heavy items and I was told that someone was being sent up, but no one arrived. We had to carry them all down ourselves. I expressed my concerns to the front desk representative when I checked out early and she did not offer any remediation. She admitted it was loud and apologized. We would like El Cortez to provide a refund for the room cost as this is not the service or experience we are accustomed to at this location and we would like to be able to return in the future. However, if a resolution is not provided we will not be returning and will be forced to file a complaint with the BBB.

Cute but loud
Stayed in on the original remodeled rooms. The room was nice enough but you could hear all the near by clubs. Dont expect to sleep unless you have ear plugs.

I was a little hesitant to stay at this hotel, but once I was there I knew that I would enjoy it! The rooms were clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful! Look forward to staying there again.

I've stayed at the El Cortez multiple times. It's clean and updated, service is good. . I stayed in one of "the original 47" rooms. It was fine, fun history, but only stair access. Stay in the tower if you have problems with stairs. Close to the Fremont Street Experience, and a tenth the cost of a room on the strip. I've stayed on the strip in rooms much worse.
