Overall our stay was a 9 out 10. That number covered everything from cleanliness of the casino to our hotel room (which was exceptional). Each staff member we encounter was pleasant and courteous. Our only issue was figuring out how to get to the reservation counter from the parking garage. It's a nightmare! We had to find staff to explain and or show us how to get to the lobby. We actually had to go inside the hotel from the garage, then outside of the building, then inside again. No signage anywhere! We realized its an older establishment but that was ridiculous (especially when you're dragging luggage around).

Imprisoned at the El Cortez
I booked a non-smoking room and was put into a smoking room. The people next-door must’ve just gotten out of prison. They were partying all night had to call security twice to get them to shut up the whole place smelled of smoke. The rooms felt like I was in a prison with a wire windows

Very noisy outside . And no way to keep the noise out . It was like a concert going on till 2am . I had to be up at 3am for a flight . So I got zero sleep . The shower flooded when you went to take a shower and the lights were having troubles and we had to call maintenance.

El Cortez is nice. Cabana room. Property is across the street from the casino and a few blocks away from Fremont st. Only thing is that’s the a lot of homeless but that America right now. wants to stay somewhere affordable stay here

The overall stay was great for us. The cabana room was small as hell and we could barely maneuver around. I was disappointed about the room size because of the price we paid to stay. Other than that, the trip was amazing. The elevator was iffy and we thought it was going to fall apart.

El Cortez is historically significant, interesting and located in a convenient location just off the Vegas Strip and minutes away from the Freemont Experience and other attractions. The room was clean, well stocked with waters, coffee and hairdryer. If you need a conditioner, the conditioning shampoo they supplied was not enough for my hair. I recommend bringing your favorites! The bus to go up and down the strip as well as to the transportation is literally less than a 5 minute walk. Afternoon and evening happy hours offer reasonably priced beverages. Several of the other casinos in the area also offer reduced cost food and beverages. There is a lot of security and the facility is well lit.

The layout was a little confusing, but the staff were great in helping me navigate. I also appreciate the airport shuttle. The detergent used on the bath towels was odd, though. Kind of smelled like bug repellent.
