I had to book somewhere in a rush for a work trip and I wish I spent more time searching. The staff was incredibly friendly. When I said the first nonsmoking room I was in strongly smelled of smoke, they agreed to move me to a different nonsmoking room for no charge. Unfortunately, the second room also smelled strongly of cigarettes so instead of asking to be moved again at the risk of sounding difficult, I asked if they had any febreeze I could use which they very politely lent me. It worked for a few minutes but in the end, it’s the behavior of other patrons that is to blame. After I spent more than 2 minutes in the room, I recognized all the problems. The stained walls, the scuffed up toilet seat, the cracked tiles, the worn out AC unit, and the huge king sized blanket riddled with cigarette burns. I also think the door’s peephole may have been installed backwards since it looked like I was looking through the wrong end. Thinking back, I should have checked to see if you could look in from the outside of the door. I’ve stayed in a lot of different hotels and motels for all my work trips but this one is particularly out of a horror movie. Not to mention how many times I woke up in the middle of the night to people blasting music in the room beside mine so loudly that the walls would shake. I know it’s Vegas and I know it’s cheap so, naturally, I should have expected this and that was my bad.
