One of the last big time just-off-Strip mega hotels that still offers free parking and decent room rates. This one is always one of my first choices. Masquerade Tower rooms are cheaper right now because the renovations they’ve done in the Ipanema Tower haven’t reached Masquerade yet.

Easy check in process. Our hotel room was such a wonderful huge space. However, it was a very long walk from the parking area to our hotel room. Our flight came in late, and there was only 1 option for dining, mostly pizza. Then, our ac in our room was not pumping out cool air. Staff stated it was a problem that was remedied already, but that it would take some time for the cool air to kick in. It never kicked in. They provided a fan that suppied better air than the ac.

Our stay at the Rio Masquerade Tower had both highlights and areas for improvement. On the positive side, the staff we encountered were very friendly, the bed was extremely comfortable, the room was spacious with a beautiful view, and the hotel itself offers some excellent features. Free parking is a big plus, the location is convenient, the pool area is clean and inviting, and there are plenty of dining options on site. That said, the room showed significant signs of wear. The carpet was dirty, the décor was dated, and one of the lampshades stood out in the worst way—it was stained, mismatched from the others, didn’t fit the fixture properly, and sat tilted and crooked, which looked terrible. The in-room safe clicked all night without working, there was no fan in the bathroom, and no complimentary water provided (a disappointment in the Vegas summer heat). To make matters worse, the vending machines were out of bottled water. An odd touch was a tacky picture covering a shower window, which felt out of place. Checking in and out was also inconvenient, as the process was entirely through kiosks with no staff available to assist, leaving us to figure it out ourselves. Overall, while the Rio offers friendly staff, a comfortable stay, and enjoyable amenities like the pool and restaurants, the rooms could benefit from a refresh and better attention to detail to truly match the quality of the rest of the property.
