Striking workers impacted experience negatively
So I arrive at the property only to find the culinary union on strike. This meant that the hotel owned outlets on property were closed. Also, we got shouted at over bullhorns coming and going from the property and they were out there all hours of the day and night screaming about how I was a loser for staying there. The hotel knew this but did not communicate the difficulty even though the strike had been going for two weeks. No one at the front desk addressed it either at checkin. This is a failure of the hotel, and what I’m most upset about during my stay. According to the news, the workers were offered a thirty cent raise. I’d be striking too given cost of living. Give the workers a fair contract! Room comfortable and clean as always.

A sumptuous stay!
Beautiful hotel. The strike was going on, so several restaurants and main pool area closed, so can’t comment extensively. However, the room was immaculately clean. The fitness facility was fantastic, and the heated rooftop pool a dream. The bed was super comfy, and loved the view with the sphere. A really enjoyable, relaxing place.

I loved the room styles and the property overall was promising. Unfortunately we found out a week before our arrival the culinary staff was on strike. We felt bad for crossing the line but I had already secured 3 rooms during the holiday season so it was difficult to stay in the same price range so I thought . I called to inquire on what this would effect and I was promised nothing but 2 major restaurants were closed and they only had a buffet that included minimal options , meat, potatoes , powdered eggs, plain bagels and a yogurt parfait . Since the other loyal workers probably decided to not cross the line the housekeeping was minimal and we would receive knocks on the door at 10 pm for service. In un uniformed staff which was a bit creepy for our group. Then lastly the protesters would yell and scream on a megaphone calling us losers and just having it blasting the alarm 24 hours a day !!! It was a bit much for us … Then the resort fee charge is $10 more than Expedia quoted per day per room. Along with a 100 per day per room security deposit that we had to pay . These were not worth it to me while the amenities were minimal and also an active strike going on..

There was a culinary worker strike and we were verbally harassed every time we left the building. Took away from the relaxing nature of our vacation.

Great hotel
Great stay and lovely hotel. Only issue was one of the curtains was damaged and the sun woke me up. We told the staff at check out so hopefully it's repaired. Also bring ear plugs, right next to the airport so you hear the planes all night.
