Great boutique hotel centrally located
Had a 3 night stay exploring Launceston. We had a room on the 1st floor that overlooked the city and PennyRoyal fun park. It was lovely to have the views. The room was very clean, comfortable and had everything we needed, ie coffee, a selection of teas, bottled water and toiletries. We were able to park close to our room as part of the package. It was very central to Cataract gorges, parks, the markets and many eateries and the CDB. The gentleman that greeted us at reception was courteous and friendly and brought extra crockery and cutlery to our room in case we got takeaways and needed them.

Great travel base
Great base for a couple of days for intrastate travel. Full kitchen was very useful, and the living areas were quite spacious. Also had access to a garden and parking right outside the door.

First time here and unfortunately (as it has some good attributes) I don't think I'll stay again. Overnight I was unable to sleep due to the repetitive cycling of what sounded like an older style refrigeration or air-conditioning unit. It may not have even been on the property but several times per hour it would suddenly and noisily start.

Staff were really lovely and friendly. Fantastic central location. Hills and stairs need to be considered if you have mobility issues. Kitchen and laundry facilities excellent. Very clean and comfortable.

The Hideaway is a quality boutique hotel that's tucked away from the traffic, but it's only a minute walk to the centre of town. Great rooms with space and a quality shower.
