Not terrible, but not great

We were first assigned a room right next to the elevator. We requested a different room and was given one. The problem is that our reservation wasn't updated with the new room, and the room was later assigned to another guest who tried to get into it at midnight. A few minutes later the door rattled again this time with the night manager. It really scarred me. I went to the door and told them that the room was assigned to us and the manager apologized. The next day I tried to use the exercise room. All the equipment was unusable except the one elliptical machine that someone was on. The hotel is a bit tired. The rooms could use some new paint and new curtains. At least it was in a central part of town. The staff was friendly.

The hotel was very nice, clean & very conveniently located. Super friendly check in & check out staff. Good selection on the buffet breakfast bar. Would definitely stay here again!!!!!

We were glad to be able to get the handicap room with the walk-in shower because my husband and I both have issues that this helps. However, the shower was made in a way that the lip of it slanted down towards the bathroom floor, and the shower curtain Was about 10 inches above the floor. When we got through showering, the bathroom was almost entirely flooded. There was no way to avoid it. This could’ve been very dangerous, walking on the wet tile floor. I don’t know why the lip of the shower would not have been slanted towards the shower drain instead of out to the floor. And I don’t know why the shower curtain wasn’t long enough to hold the water in. I’ve never seen this happen in a La Quinta before. Definitely a design flaw. Some of the furniture was scratched as though it was old and there were scratches on the bathroom door and the front door and they needed painting and cleaning. Overall, everything was very clean though.

The hotel room was dirty. The molding all around the room was filthy dirty and dusty. The shower area was dirty and shower curtain was extremely stained. Breakfast choices are very limited. Pool and pool area were dirty too. I do not recommend this property

Pros-comfortable bed, hot water, decent breakfast CONS- bandaids floating in the pool, found someone else’s ear bud in the bed sheets, fridge not cleaned out from the guests prior…left takeout noodles that had been sitting for quite some time, fire alarm went off at 7 AM-the entire hotel was buzzing, workout equipment run down, TV not working inside the workout room
