The property is undergoing refurbishment this means its a bit off a mess overall a nice place but im glad i had it as a reward night, sadly couldnt go for a swim as the pool was shut too, Redeeming factor breakfast, one of the best breakfasts i have had in a very long time, this proving you can have a quality buffet,

Bed and breakfast stay
This facility is principally a "venue" providing facilities and accommodation for weddings and conferences. In addition it has modern simple bedrooms. We only required basic overnight accommodation and so our Horsley Place first floor Guest Room was fine. The downside was no lift and a steep set of stairs. The room was relatively small but was quiet and comfortable. We did not appreciate the number of cushions scattered on the bed - they serve no useful purpose and took up quite a lot of room space when removed. Pleasant lounge/bar areas are available. Breakfast was a veritable feast including Full English. However, to get from our room to breakfast entailed an outside walk via a gravel footpath which included a number of trip hazards - fortunately it was not raining. Maybe this was a temporary route during the alterations which were in progress. One final point - finding the vehicle access to the hotel is quite tricky. It is not indicated from the village road and it is quite easy to drive past it.

We arrived about 8.30pm , the receptionist was unwelcoming and the room we were given was a tiny box room. It was so stuffy and hot we tried to put the air conditioner on but it didn’t work. I called reception and was told it didn’t have air conditioning. She said she would call the manager to see if we could be transferred to another room and after some time we were given a reasonable room on the ground floor. My husband and I are in our eighties and really could have done without the hassle. Although the new room was fine it didn’t have any drinking glasses and I was told it’s not their policy to provide them although they did send some to the room. The whole place is a shambles, finding reception (the one we checked in on the previous evening was closed.) it took us 25 minutes to find it in order to check out. All in All a pretty poor show

Nice stay but ask for a quiet room!
Staff very helpful and welcoming, breakfast was lovely and the area around the hotel was nice to walk. Mattress in room 733 was appallingly bouncy and soft it felt we were rolling together, so didn’t sleep very well. Mentioned this at reception, lady apologised for this but didn’t appear to take any note to get it checked. Will always check in future before it’s too late to change rooms. Also people in adjoining rooms continually visiting each other until around 1230 at night letting the doors slam didn’t aid our sleep either. Why can’t hotels fit silent door closers?! Also mentioned at reception. Would love to stay again but would check out the mattress straight away!

Enjoyable stay
Another enjoyable stay in Horsley Place. Pleasant, comfortable, but small room. Enjoyed walking round lovely grounds and using gym and pool. Very good breakfast. Helpful staff. We've found it good value and in a convenient place, using it as a base for visiting Wisley, NT properties etc and catching train into London (Horsley Station 25 mins walk). Unfortunately, wifi wasn't good at times.

Very good one night stay in recently renovated sui
Received a very nice upgrade to a suite upon arrival. Newly renovated with besutiful decking area by the water. Suite was excellent. Shower a little small and yoilet paoer very thin/cheap. Service was very good all round. Cleanliness of room was excellent. Swimming pool was good too. Breakfast excellent. Meal in bar could have been better. I would stay there again.

Would investigate more before booking next time.
Problems with the booking not linking to the hotel due to a system upgrade. However this was sorted when we arrived and handled well. Room was smaller than expected but was clean and tidy. Breakfast was good. Well presented and warm.

Rather go to a premier in it would be cleaner
When we first got thier it was not very clear where reception was we found the second part,thier was no one thier, so we went in to the bar and the young man said he would get someone, Chantelle turn up drink in her hand slurping it asked what she could do for us,asked if we was part of the reception going on and immediately said we was in the wrong place had to go back and start again ,basically you not staying here,bare in mind we just had a long drive, said we had to go back to other reception and how could we had missed it,thier was no reception sign out or any thing, we felt uncomfortable as she made us feel as we was doing her a favour.finallywe found were we was going to be greated by a young man sam i think,we was given our rooms our dughter was placed about 18 rooms away near the fire exit door that was never seemed to be closed even at night which made her feel uncomfortable, the pool was closed on the Thursday for 4 hours to be cleaned but we got in thier that afternoon and the mud under the stairs was filthy full of mud they need to look,a red heart we found their also. Thier found bar staff helpful after we enquiries that we made for coffee and tea free we was not told by reception, cobwebs in hallway going downstairs need attention been thier a while and want us to use hand sanitizer which was never filled in two days we stayed. Room need updating tired , all through Reception was good then we got Chantelle again to check out well ,we wont be back

Had a one night stay the room was very nice and must’ve been recently renovated as could still smell the paint. The room was clean and very comfortable. The bar is nice and I had breakfast which was also nice - lots of choice. The grounds are so lovely there are nice walks there is also a pool. I would just say the hotel itself is very tired in places - but maybe this will be re decorated as some point. Would defo stay again.

Well worth staying.
Very helpful and friendly staff who made our overnight stay comfortable and enjoyable. Even a slight mishap was resolved quickly. The hotel and grounds are very impressive. Would highly recommend.
