We had an excellent stay at the Hanover Inn that ended in a difficult way. Hotel is in great shape. Had one of the best dinners at Pine Restaurant and enjoyed our time there. Unfortunately my wife left 2 shirts and a sweater hanging in the closet and we left the hotel. About 5 hours later she realized she didn’t remove the clothing from the closet and we immediately called the hotel. No clothing found in the closet per hotel personnel. The initial response from front desk person was limited at best and later after another call we made back to hotel, manager was slightly more helpful but neither cleaning or maintenance crew admitted to removing or taking the clothing. Not surprising. What made it worse was it was my wife’s birthday and we had a special dinner that next night and she didn’t have clothing for the evening. So difficult to offset the positive experience initially with the eventual outcome.

Great hotel next to Dartmouth
The hotel updated the gym - it's fantastic - and they serve great coffee in the lobby in the morning. This is a slow time of year, so the rates were the lowest I have seen in a couple years of traveling to the area. It's a lovely hotel next to campus, can't beat it.
