This hotel is by a lake, a very nice setting at sun set. We enjoyed our walk there after dinner. The room is rather small and dated. The front desk seems to have limited hours. During the check out time, nobody was there. Although the setting is great, the facility itself is quite dated, needing a major renovation. The breakfast was OK, unremarkable to the point of not remembering what we had. The on-site restaurant, The Mint, serves Indian food. The dinner food was surprisingly good, particularly the naan and pistachio ice cream. It also has a nice offering of non-alcohol drinks. Overall, it was an OK stay. The room was too small to be comfortable.

The lake was very pretty, though it was cold and rained while we were there. The breakfast was okay, nothing special. The Indian restaurant in the same building was really great!

Loved the Black Swan. Friendly staff, clean rooms, nice location and good food. The only problem I had was that the shower wasn't really good. Very light water pressure so it actually took longer to take a shower than I normally do because it takes longer to rinse off. Also, no rubber bath mat inside the shower to reduce slipping, no grab bars, and the water didn't drain right away so I was standing in water which also upped the risk for slipping.

Very clean hotel with water view. You can rent boats of kyaks if you care too. Excellent continental breakfast daily. Washer, Dryer, Gym, and computer available to guests. Indian restaurant on site. Close to everything.

Staff was helpful and friendly. The room was a great size and clean and cozy. Loved the balcony overlooking the lake, very peaceful and quiet. Breakfast was just right and the coffee machine was such a wonderful treat! Convenient location-quick drive to shops and restaurants. Thank you for a perfect getaway! We will definitely be coming back.

Oh oh New England!

The Black Swan is a reliable stay. If you are passing through, get the cheaper rooms on the parking lot side, if you are staying for a few nights get a room with a lake view and balcony. Not a chain!
