The public areas (reception, library, foyer, dining rooms) are beautiful and the staff are very welcoming and professional, however once you get beyond the elevator doors, the bedrooms and corridors are in need of refurbishment. Whilst very clean the fixtures are dated and worn, and the grout and sealants in bath/shower are stained. Both our towels were also stained. The pool and spa area is very nice but could also do with a deep clean to the tiled area (everywhere) to remove limescale and mould stains. Breakfast excellent.

Very comfortable stay. However I was disappointed that the bed was dirty on arrival and I had to request it be changed, it would have been easier and quicker to swap me to a new room especially arriving late in the evening after a long day of travel. I also couldn’t get a dairy free latte at breakfast and had to get one in the bar and pay in additional to breakfast. Usually have nothing to complain about but felt I had to this time as it’s usually perfect there!

Oliver was fantastic in the restaurant really looked after us and my our child and kept him entertained. It made dinner time much easier, thanks from Dan Hands. Lots of electric car chargers here that didn't appear on zap map but you should never be short of getting a spot. really good facilities. would certainly stay again.

Hotel is graudually going down in standards, food is low quality, breakfast disorganised, Many staff inexperienced or untrained. Pity to see it falling from what was once a great hotel.

Very slow service in the champagne bar 2 members of staff with a few peoppe queueing and only 1 staff memeber serving the other one was stood drying one glass. Was there for a charity event and thibgs had been taken from the room set up the night before
