On the positive side, the place is very very clean and it's spacious. Free parking is a huge plus at a resort like this. However, they stopped trying after the 90s. The place hasn't been updated in ages, the rooms are a bit cramped and they give you a little bottle of water for their "resort fee." Breakfast buffet is $25/person and is just a step above the Hampton Inn breakfast buffet (in that they have a nice selection of mediocre meat options and an omelet station.)

Underwhelming

The resort is beautiful and has a lot of potential. Unfortunately, there were a few issues that led to a mediocre review. The biggest issue for us was that the main opened our door when we had the do not disturb sign on. This happened not once, but twice. We told the front desk and they apologized but to us, this is a critical mistake when you think you have privacy and it is invaded. Secondly, when we flushed the toilet, there was a loud screeching sound. We are older and have to use the bathroom in the middle of the night and we woke each other up. We booked and paid for a room with a king bed but when we checked in only a double was available, and we were not offered a lower price. I was attending a board retreat for three days and there were many weird noises coming from the ceiling in the room that distracted us from the business at hand. The hotel really needs to do something about the plumbing resort wide.

Overall a nice stay. It was well staffed, and the staff was very friendly. The room decor was a bit low brow compared to the public spaces. The restaurant did not open for breakfast so you basically were left with microwaved breakfast sandwiches, very surprising for a hotel of this size.

Great for family time!

Hotel has a lot of amenities, we also used the spa, pool and hot tub. Also took one of the free workout classes.

Beautiful Property, Great Service

This is one of my favorite stays in the greater NOVA area. The staff is so friendly and incredibly helpful, the service feels VIP. Rooms are spacious and they are generous with perks (free suite upgrades, free valet). The grounds are beautiful and quiet.
