Went through Hotel.com as i was told via another wevbsite that I would get 10% discount, Thjis turned out to be a falsehood. RANG BEFOREHAND TO CONFIRM THAT i WOULD HAVE A TRAVEL COT AVAILABLE (PAID FOR BABY). wAS TOLD THAT i HAD TO PAY ANOTHER £10 ON TOP. tHIS TURNED OUT TO BE WRONG INFO, AFTER i HAD BORROWED A COT AND BROUGHT IT ALL THE WAY THERE. sTAFF OTHERWISE HELPFUL BUT HOTEL WAS FILTHY DIRTY. Sticking to carpets which were sodden with beer. Problem with noise from adjoining rooms, I had to deal with it.
For the price, it was an ok hotel. We stayed for 2 nights but unfortunately when my partner returned to our room after taking me to my meeting - the room had been given to new guests. On his return the keycard would not work then someone opened the door from inside. 2 gentlemen were there as was all our luggage. They said they had only just checked in and thought there must be a problem. Luckily we had no valuables there but if we had - who knows what may have happened. He queried with reception who insisted we only booked 1 night. This was finally resolved after 2 attempts. We left early and came home. Oh - our view was a brick wall.
I spent one night in this hotel with my 2 young children. Never again.
A lift takes you to reception but from there on only stairs, i struggled with my bags, buggy and toddler down a steep flight if stairs unaided.
I then had to clean the room myself as doors, walls, surfaces etc... were sticky with visable stains. The beds were hard and uncomfortable and sleep was impossible due to the noise ciming in through the awful metal framed windows.
The freeview tv consisted of 3 fuzzy channels and the advertised 'city view' was a vile littered balcony covered in pigeon excriment.
Needless to say, after the awful nights sleep we did not stick around for breakfast.
I would strongly advise against staying here with children or if you like to sleep!
Room and bathroom were clean, found an old pair of trainers in the wardrobe but didn't use them. Staff helpful and friendly breakfast satisfactory for continental type. Brilliant restaurant within 5 min walk of hotel.
Stayed one night for business trip, which was adequate considering little time spent in room. Room size good for single room. However, bathroom not as clean as it should have been on arrival. WiFi access also slow from room. On positive, plentiful self-service breakfast and good location for the reasonable amount paid.
Our party had 3 rooms booked - 2 singles and a triple. The single rooms were very small. The triple room had 3 divans in it. No valance, no fitted sheet, just a sheet that didn't actually cover the whole of the matresses. The windows in the room had gaps between them, even when they were closed. There was a very noisy nightclub opposite the hotel. Bathroom was grand but for some reason the shower head was well below head height. Not great at all.
This hotel was great if you want somewhere cheap to put your head down for a couple of nights. The pictures look better than the hotel is! Be aware, especially if you are there on a Saturday night, that this place is cheap enough for those who want clubbing all night and partying in their rooms for the rest of the night. We got woken up at 4.30am but the night porter was really helpful. What this hotel can offer is cheap parking and a very central location, so overall it was very useful and affordable. My main disappointments were being woken up at 4.30am but also the bathroom condition not being great. This did not hamper the weekend! We had a great time and the bed was really really comfortable!!!!
The photos of this hotel, show it much better than it is. The rooms are very small (a cat couldn't swing a mouse), more like a cabin on a boat.It was cheap but the photos made it look so much more. If all you want is a bed to sleep in and a tv to watch basic channels on then it will suit. The hotel and the rooms are very shabby, you get what you pay for, don't think your getting a bargin here.
This is more like a 2 star hotel, very basic but comfortable enough for a short stay. Car park is next to the hotel and charges a small amount for every 24 hours. No lifts to rooms so not good for those who can't do stairs.
Breakfast is basic toast, crossaints and cereal.
Only real concern was the parking of the car at the top level of the adjacent NCP (level 6). Still, hotel entrance was there and no problems encountered. If the hotel was decorated (carpets/bathroom floor/showers) and the breakfast room a little more inviting (very basic - but clean and well stocked) it could possibly go to a 4* but then the price would increase. As a guest, one can't have it all ways.
Well had to attend a wedding 5 mins away so didn't won't to drive back to london. so finding the hotel was hard you find but then no sign for parking . then find the parking 6 floors £4.50 to stay for parking why. Bar had no beer from the pipe so bottles from the fridge. rooms where okay but the beds were broken .shower head was to low for me. Breakfast was normal and all hat for
£68 pound for 2 adults 2 children

Sky Plaza Hotel in Leicester
Very convenient if you're coming in by coach - it's a two minute walk from St Margaret's Coach Station. Wasn't much in the local area to get a decent meal. Room had a nice view of the city, as did the Dining Area.
Mattress was a disappointment - felt like the springs were gone. Other than a ton of gunk on the TV remote, everything else was fine for the price!
All in all an OK, basic Hotel - feel like I got what I paid for.
This hotel has seen better days, there was poor internet service, breakfast was very poor. The roomns were more like a prisson cell, complimented by cigarette burns to add to the ambiance.
In taking a shower I had to turn on the facilities 20 mins prior to wanting to use the facilities because the warter was simply cold. TV facilities that old, the large set had difficulty in managing wide screen, hence it was like watching the picture through a letter box! This hotel was more like a HOSTEL !!
