The front desk clerk refused to honor my request for a first floor room due to a recent knee injury. He said I would have to pay $75 more for a king delux room. I had secured a standard double king room through Expedia. He then said I could have a first floor queen room but he could not guarantee it - he would leave it as a “note” on my reservation. I would have to go to the Inn to see about availability. I was not going to drive 3 hrs to learn whether I could have a first floor room or not.
I did not check in as I was very concerned about stairs leading to a further injury. Apparently this Inn refuses to acknowledge the Americans With Disabilities Act. Interestingly, the other inns I booked with Expedia gladly found me a first floor room.
