Nicely refurbished rooms in a loverly older building in a great location - with a nice outdoor patio. The lobby / bar looks like it's still getting restarted - but not a problem given it's location to everything else in Lenox a short stroll away.

I just love this place, its charm and its location. Staff are always wonderful, so friendly and willing to talk. I come back again and again, and am always disappointed when there are no reservations for the day I need. I will be back soon.

Very nice coffee set up in the morning. Staff was super courteous and helpful. Most of property is updated although carpeting and rugs are tired. Location is great, very convenient to Tanglewood and restaurants. Parking is onsite and more than ample. B

AC was much too cold and couldn’t seem to be adjusted - I slept in my clothes since there weren’t enough blankets; quiet place and a bit old fashioned decor but bathroom spotless; window coverings actually shut out light (positive); convenient to Lenox/Tanglewood and French patisserie next door

I was initially worried seeing mixed reviews about The Whitlock but we had a wonderful time. Location cannot be beat - walk out the door into town and everything Lenox has to offer. Room was clean, cozy and comfortable. AC was strong even during a heatwave. SmartTV with all of the streaming channels. The lobby and patio space were great, and there is a little convenience area to buy waters or juice. The staff were responsive and helpful when we wanted to switch rooms. Wonderful trip all around, I recommend the Whitlock for your trip to Lenox!

Lovely historical hotel within walking distance to many great shops and restaurants. Staff members maintained good communication and were very helpful throughout our stay. Rooms were clean, quiet, and comfortable. Would definitely stay there again.

We liked that we could walk to Tanglewood--the location was the strongest asset of the property. There was minimal staff-- I received a text that front desk staff was leaving at 7pm. The room was adequate. The heat exchanger worked but the air blew directly on our bed. There were no coffee pods with caffeine for early risers.

Be careful - this property charges your credit card for the stay when you check in online, after you’ve already paid Expedia. It is very difficult to reach a responsible individual/manager to resolve the billing dispute, and they haven’t been responsive to Expedia either.

When we checked in there was human hair in the bed sheets and a stick red substance on the floor and bureau. The staff quickly tried to correct the situation with new sheets while we left the property. When we returned we learned that they used the incorrect size fitted sheet but when we realized it it was too late to say anything. We enjoy Lennox and will be looking at other lodging options.

When we stayed there it was off season and there were very few people staying there. Checking in was very different as Expedia told us to do one thing and the hotel had other directions. We finally got in touch with an employee who was very welcoming and informative. The outside doors remain unlocked 24 hours so the only locked door was the room we stayed in- apparently it is a safe place. The room was beautiful, bed very comfortable and bathroom clean and modern.
