Only £40 so shouldn't expect any better, although sometimes you do get decent places but this was terrible. Wouldn't ever stay here again. No facilities and the bathroom was the tiniest I've ever seen.

WWI battlefield and cemetery trip
We needed a hotel that was situated in northern France with easy connections to the various points of interest relating to WWI during the day and to good bars and restaurants in the evening. This hotel did both of these and was economically price with single rooms. The staff were very good and very helpful. Furthermore there was ample local free car parking.

If good value, then stay, skip breakfast
Good hotel for the money. Owners are at reception to look after you. We had bikes and they accommodated storing them inside. Overall a good experience. Breakfast was expensive as there were only few baguettes and don't expect a plate. The coffee however is exceptional!

A welcoming venue for an overnight stay
The hotel location is just outside the area that would be considered the town centre, but the station and every other amenity that you would want in the centre of Lens are within 5-10 minutes walk, with the football stadium and the Louvre just a couple of minutes away. The lady on reception was very friendly and welcoming and the rooms, whilst basic, were clean and perfectly adequate for our all-male group who were visiting overnight for football and nightlife. The price was also fair when compared to the price per head on offer at other nearby hotels.

Very basic hotel. Big rooms, with no frills. Short walk to restaurants and bars.

Would stay elsewhere next time
Staff were very friendly and helpful, generously assisting my disabled husband. Access to our disabled room was step-free, and the bedroom and wet room were spacious. However, the bedside shelves were poorly built and both fell to the floor in use; the two bedside lamps didn't work properly, and had only one bulb between them. We ate dinner at the hotel rather than search out a restaurant, as we were tired, but the meal was mediocre at best. The wet room was well designed apart from the drainage - the tiled floor sloped incorrectly so that the shower water headed for the corner where the toilet was. My husband showered after we arrived, so we had to step into water to use the loo each time, not very pleasant.

Lovely little hotel
Lovely family hotel in the centre of Lens. Clean and ideal for use as a base while exploring locally. It is right near the town centre too. Lots of good restaurants nearby.

I would sleep in a park rather than go back
Obviously a budget-quality hotel choice, and I knew that when I booked. However, it is best suited to prospective guests who are both deaf and have no sense of smell. It was insanely loud, with no soundproofing whatsoever between the rooms, the bar downstairs, and the hallways - and when I complained, I was told "It is impossible that you heard noise from your room" (on the floor above the bar). Plumbing is best described as perilously fragile. Toilet was not connected when I arrived, and also was not bolted to the floor, so it tipped to the right by an alarming degree every time I needed to use it. Requests to fix it were met with shrugs. Mold abounded, things were in desperate need of a deep cleaning, and the room was not made up on the second day of my stay. Pretty much the only good thing I can say about the place is that it didn't have bedbugs...however, the unscreened room windows were left wide open (by the staff), presumably to mitigate the smell of the mold, so there were other bugs to deal with. I have literally never had a less comfortable stay anywhere I have ever travelled to.

Good 2 night stay. Breakfast must be ordered the night before. No elevator. Room was large and spotless. On-street parking.

OK but just barely.
We booked for two nights to attend Vimy 100 ceremony. There was very little available in Lens so we booked Hotel le Jardin. It's generally showing a lot of wear and tear. There was no soap in the room and we had to go to the desk to request toilet tissue. No room cleaning service after first night. Had to make our own bed. On the whole, the family that runs it are nice enough but need to do a better job of running a hotel.

Very clean, good service. Whole hotel is just older. Cheap stay, may look sketchy at first but owner is super nice and welcoming. English is not the best, so practice up on your French.

Yes the hotel was clean staff welcoming and helpful on arrival. Just a lot of noise from the hotel bar at night, and not just the guests the staff. It was alright for a Two Star rated hotel. Okay for a one night stop over unfortunately we were there for three nights!

OK , Hotel for a 2 star , no extra perks . Internet is intermittent . Hotel staff has limited English , Main floor is a Bar which is noisey until late in evening . Breakfast is expensive for only bread , juice & tea . Room was clean & non-smoking , hotel is 5 min. walk to Train station & downtown .

Good weekend break
This was a good value, family run hotel with a small restaurant. We received a very warm welcome and the atmosphere in the bar/restaurant was lively and full of locals. It is not luxurious, but good value for a stop over or a weekend stay. The LensLouvre is a fabulous museum and the cemeteries, war memorials etc are very moving and well worth a visit.

Decent Hotel Close to all Transportation Options
This hotel is very clean with the rooms being cleaned every day. Housekeeping was excellent. They are not and nor do they claim to be a luxury hotel. It is a 2 star. Like I said, you have a very clean room with great housekeeping, but it is a very basic room. Those expecting décor and grandeur will be very disappointed. I had problems with the wifi that were resolved quite quickly by management. However, the signal was never very strong. Be aware that there is no staff at the front desk between 10pm and 7am with the doors being locked both inside and out during those times. I had to check myself out through a fire door as I had to leave before 7am. I would definitely stay there again.

What a welcome!
After a terrible cross-channel journey to receive such a warm welcome was fantastic. Staff were incredibly friendly and their broken English was much better than our broken French!A basic room, but had everything needed and the beer was the sweetest ever tasted!

The staff were very friendly and looking forward to us staying there. Unfortunately the rooms were not very clean as well as the bathrooms. The pictures on the website looked to be better than some of the rooms but I did not see all.

Good hotel close to station and town centre
I stayed there for one night. It was a clean and nice small hotel close to Lens train station. It's on place de la République, which is basically a large carpark, but was quiet when I visited. The staff were friendly and informative. It was a good base to visit Musée du Louvre-Lens. There is a shuttle bus from the station to the museum, but it's not far to walk and I can confirm that the route is pleasant and way-finding is easy with enough signage.
