Looks like a typical “motel” on the outside but it has been updated on the inside. The bed was very comfortable but way too high. I am pretty short and it wasn’t easy to get in. I do wish they had in room coffee.

It was older but did have some upgrades , the lady at the front desk was nice. The room was clean and king bed was comfy. The only thing I didn’t care for was the smell around the area maybe being around farmland that smell lingers .

This was a great stay. The hotel staff were wonderful and accommodating. The rooms were clean and tidy. I would recommend this hotel if you need a place to stay.

The South Wind Inn was the perfect respite from a stormy camping weekend. The staff was tremendous! So friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay again next time we’re in Liberal.

We were happy with our overnight stay at the South Wind Inn. It was clean, safe, and pretty quiet considering it was on the main highway through town. The beds were comfortable, the room was clean, and the area was safe. It checked all the boxes for our needs. It is a stone's throw from Dorothy's house from the Wizard of Oz, for those that are into that kind of thing.

This place is a dive.

When I first checked in I was downgraded from a king room that I booked to a queen, “because I was by myself” according to the clerk that checked me in. The room was old with cracked walls. It was barely big enough to house the queen bed and a small table. The bathroom was tiny and had a small stand up shower. The shower leaked into the wall area and the tile was separated from the floor. There was no hot water when I woke up the first morning there. I took a cold shower. When I got back into the room that evening the water was hot so I took a shower that night just in case the hot water didn’t work the next morning. Sure enough… the next morning the water was cold again. Do they turn off the hot water heaters at night?? All in all a miserable experience and I would just as soon pop a tent in a campground with an out house as stay in this hotel again.

The guy at the front desk was very nice. The beds were really high, if you are short like me, you'll have terrible getting in. The Wi-Fi wasn't good and the rooms are old.

The rooms were very clean and the beds were the most comfortable of the entire trip. There is no air conditioner or Wifi, but it wasn't needed for our one-night stay. There was a refrigerator and microwave in the room. A coffee maker would be most welcome! The owners were very friendly and helpful. When a clean, comfortable, basic room is what you're looking for, this is perfect! We would definitely stay again if we are in the area.
