Overpriced and underwhelming

For the money that I pay, this was not worth it. The bed was hard and extremely uncomfortable. The Air conditioner smelled like mold. The shower curtain would not stay in place and water got all over the floor. Also, the towels were flimsy and thin. Also, there’s a rooster that goes off at the crack of dawn that needs to be dealt with. I don’t like to get poor reviews, but overall, it was not a good experience.

Book somewhere else.

This hotel does NOT match the booking pictures like at all. You pull up to the hotel and immediately think "am I safely going to be able to leave my belongings and car here?". The parking is okay at best. The hotel is SIGNIFICANTLY outdated. The power will pop if you run the AC unit and hair dryer at the same time. The walls are paper thin so we could hear other couples spicy nights, the TV was bad quality, Now let me tell you about the shower. It was absolutely atrocious! You can barely fit a single person in there, there was a faucet at the bottom of a shower (without a tub!) for some reason. Because the shower is so small, you cant effectively wash certain areas, especially when the shower head wouldnt point down more than a few inches. My boyfriend is 6'2 and it wouldnt go lower than hitting his chest; Im 5'2, imagine how that is. The toilet paper was so thin that if a fly landed on it, the fly would fall through it causing it to rip. When it comes to eco friendly, yeah it is cause if you're there for 2 days youll use an entire roll of see through TP, and you'll get charged if you ask for more, their towels are old and not replaced save recycling. You can tell because the towels leave this nice annoying fuzz that sticks to everywhere on your body, and I mean everywhere. Hotel just isn't worth staying at again. Look for something a little nicer. I promise you; its worth the few extra bucks.

This is a very old hotel built in the 1950's. It has been significantly remodeled but still retains its old Hawaiian charm. It is located near some very interesting local restaurants, museums, and central to most locations on Kauai. The manager of the hotel, Ronald Kikumoto, has a passion for Hawaiian history, events, and geography. He enjoys giving visitors a comprehensive look at this mystical historic island chain.

Basic lodging

This place is pretty basic. I would say that it is closer to a motel than a hotel as there is very limited amenities or common areas. For the amount that it cost, I would like to get more value, but I also understand that Kauai is extremely expensive to stay on. Nothing wrong with the place, just nothing special.
