I was in town for a funeral. The funeral proceedings were running later than I thought they would. I asked the hotel if I could check out a little later. They said anything after 1:00 p.m. and I would have to pay for half a day but if I was after 3:00 p.m. I'd have to pay for the entire day. They didn't even give me a break for the funeral. I was out right before 3:00 and they still considered charging me for an entire day. They still had people there cleaning other rooms but yet they still wanted to charge me more. The other hotels in the area gave my cousins extra time. They told them as long as they checked out by 3:00 p.m. they wouldn't be charged any extra money. I spoke to the manager about it and he totally agreed with the staff. He said that the lady at the front desk had text him about it and he agreed with her at the time. When I had asked to speak to the manager the day I checked out, the lady at the front desk said he wasn't available even though she'd just got done texting him.
