Staff and service were excellent. Lovely food great breakfast. This hotel has the makings of a great hotel, sadly it could do with refurbishment of the rooms and bar area. I would stay again if rooms updated. Fabulous location.

Great location, hotel is in need of a refurb. Perfectly fine for a night, and as was heavily discounted, worth the money.

The property was close to the Cathedral and dining options in the Bail. It was easy to find and en route for where I needed to be on the following day.

The worst stay in a hotel I have ever had. The room was dirty with cobwebs all over the walls and ceiling, the carpet about 50 years old, dirty, and a smell of urine throughout the hotel. The bathroom door didn’t close properly and behind it was again filthy making us not want to use the shower. Even worse we were kept up all night with someone knocking on room doors and shouting as they could not get in their own room making us feel unsafe. Upon walking to reception police were then with a woman who I presume had been the one shouting. Overall an awful stay and would strongly advise to stay away from this place.

Loved the location, food, service. Standard room - very comfortable and clean. Amazing breakfast. Coffee machine in the dining room wasn't the best and either needs servicing, or upgrading, and maybe a second one. We attended a family function and the hot buffet was exceptional, plentiful and tasty. Staff couldn't have been more helpful if they tried.

Another lovely stay at The Lincoln Hotel. So convenient. The staff were lovely and very helpful. The room was lovely and great to have such a fantastic view of the cathedral. We will be back.

Lovely location for the cathedral, castle ruins and Bailgate. Needs a bit of updating throughout the hotel but had a very spacious room with well equipt facilities. Would recommend for other travellers wanting to see Lincoln.

Bad experience.

I had 2 rooms booked. On arrival, the room was freezing. I asked reception to have a look and they gave a heater. I requested to be moved ans i was moved to a warmer room. Our second room had a massive hole in the wall. Outside my room it looked as though works were going on as the wall wasnt even painted! The rooms were not very clean and not be staying again

Great Hotel

Easy check-in, good parking facilities, nice room with view of cathedral, friendly staff & nice breakfast. Was only a quick overnight stay, but met all our requirements and would use again in the future.

Wouldn't stay again based on this trip. Hotel located in a good spot but very dated room was freezing after 4am as heating was off and outside was minus temperatures. The bathroom was delapidated and the water not very hot, the bath was rusty and dirty and as it was steel the water went colder in minutes. Food was above average but costly like all hotels. Gym was shameful ancient limited equipment falling to bits.

My husband and I spent one night here on a stopover and it was a very nice, clean hotel. We didn’t go into the restaurant or bar at all because the area was so beautiful and easily walkable we went to see as much as we could while there. We were there in January so the hotel was very quiet, but even so there is ample parking. There is no front desk staff at night and we did have to wait outside for a little while to be let into the building after our evening out I’m not sure if it was because of the season or if it’s the norm. My only real complaint was the room was cool and it only had mediocre hot water. All in all very nice, and would recommend.

Lincoln Hotel

Decided to upgrade to a cathedral view. For the small amount extra to pay this is an absolute must. The view is amazing. Staff were all really friendly, Good choice for breakfast including items cooked to order, best Eggs benedict I have ever had. The room was refurbished and really welcoming, wonderful shower. the only down side is the lift, straight out of the 50's clunked and banged and occasionally we had to press the "Open Door" button. The hotel is absolutely ideally placed for visiting uphill Lincoln which is just beautiful. Overall had a fantastic short break. The photo's are the view from our room 316.
