From the moment we arrived the staff were friendly. The room was a great size and clean. The location is great to get to all places of interest. The breakfast in the morning was really good and they had a good variety on offer. The bar staff were exceptionally good and friendly and made our trip even more relaxing. Nothing was too much. Would definitely stay at this hotel again

Friendly staff. They allowed me to check in early which was a huge plus. The hotel was Clean. Good sized rooms. Comfortable and modern. A little pricey but in line with other hotels in the area. Good location. Walking distance to many of the sites, shopping , restaurants etc. I would stay here again.

We loved our stay here. They provided a free crib and even had a little bear and baby toiletries for our daughter. The spa was a lovely perk and the breakfast was wonderful. I felt the value was amazing for what we paid. Would definitely recommend this hotel!

The exceptional staff! Everyone was gracious and welcoming. They were patient and accommodating of our large group. Cristina and her team ( don’t remember the bearded gentleman’s name😉)went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. She was most awesome! Susana too. Staff takes pride in their job and are very hospitable. Enjoyed our stay and will be back. Thanks to Cristina we were able to seamlessly book our tours, reservations and transfers were flawless. Overall, exceptional staff. Exceptional housekeeping and cleaning. Loved everything! I highly recommend this hotel for amazing staff and great location.

All the staff were without exception absolutely lovely, always ready to help and so very welcoming. Hotel is also in an amazing location and the pool is an added bonus - especially when travelling with kids. Can't fault it.

Quiet, centrally located, feels safe. It’s clearly a hotel that has seen better days. The amenities like the pool, the Turkish bath, etc. don’t really work. The pool is for kids and the Turkish bath was never getting hot. The food is mediocre, prime liquor at the bar is priced as if this were a 5* hotel in Midtown Manhattan. Ridiculous. And the bartender had the galls to tell me I should’ve asked before ordering. There are good hotels all around so if you’re looking for a really nice experience, you may want to consider skipping this hotel.

Wonderful for short and long stays

The hotel is very well maintained and conveniently located on Avenida Liberdade with Restauradores Metro Station just a few feet away. It is close to many late night dining restaurants, pastry and gelato shops. Modern minimalist rooms with amenities like toiletries, shower caps, coffee/tea, stocked fridge with drinks, juices, snacks (separately charged if consumed). The only thing I found risky was the slick polished ceramic tiled floors in shower stalls and bathroom with glass sliding doors and not much safety handles to prevent an accidental slip and fall resulting in injury. A problem that can be solved by management of the hotel. Other than this, it is a wonderful four star hotel with helpful and friendly front desk personnel. I know where to stay when I visit Lisbon again.

We visited during off season and they were stellar. Came in on an early flight and they were able to accomdate us with an extremely early check-in time. They were attentive to all our needs. We asked for an iron, they brought it up 5 minutes later. The best indicator of their excellence in service is when I called for a packet of coffee, creamer, and sugar at 4am from the gym and they delivered!

Overall our stay was great. Staff was super helpful and location is perfect for being close to everything and still not in the middle of it. A few nits - no washcloths provided, no iron in the room (but supplied when asked). I would definitely recommend the Bessa!
