Beware before booking. This was not what we expected for over $200 and we would not recommend to other travelers. There is no bolt on the room door, which made us feel unsafe, especially considering that anyone can walk until the building during the day and there is no doorman at night. The room also locks by code rather than a key, which felt less safe (we have no way of knowing the code is properly changed). The amenities are average at best, and certainly not up to standard of a 4-star hotel. Our window view led to a wall about 1 foot away, so we had no natural light. The bathroom floor looked like it hadn’t been cleaned properly. On the way out on the last day we saw a dead roach in the lobby. Not sure how this place has such a high rating on this website—the only explanation is that it was inflated. Hotel staff were nice.
Wow! What an excellent place to stay in Lisbon. This place is beautiful and the staff is very helpful. They held our bags while we explored the city because we got in too early to check in. The location is perfect. Located near the main square in Chiado, you’re close to restaurants and bars.
A quaint boutique style hotel with cozy suite apartments at a reasonable daily rate. The staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful. The location is very convenient to walk to all the nice areas in Chiado, yet the property is on a quiet street with low traffic.
Great Location. Clean rooms and comfortable beds. Ingrid at the front desk was amazing and even came in early before 8 am. Room service forgot to leave me coffee pods (the one thing that is important for me since I had to get up early and needed a coffee.) The second concierge was hard to get a hold of and even when I left a note on the front desk for him could not get my coffee pods from room service. So had to leave my workshop early to get back at 4:30 pm to catch him to ask for the coffee which room service had forgotten again. MAIN CONCERN: have the concierge be there for longer than 5 pm ! There is no one there to help if you need anything or if room service forgot the supply!
We had a late arrival and did not see in the fine print in the booking confirmation email that we had to contact the hotel ahead of time to coordinate the late arrival. The hotel did not contact us prior to our stay AT ALL and claimed that Hotels.com did not share our information with them, so they were unable to contact us. When we arrived, we called the contact number of the hotel 6 times and no one answered. We ended up having to book another hotel for the night and wasted a lot of money doing so.
This is no way to run a hotel. If you don't have 24/7 reception, you need to actively reach out to your guests ahead of time or provide an emergency phone number where guests can reach a human being that can provide them with support. For this reason, we would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
