A very pleasant small hotel fronted by nice urban park. Lots of places to walk to although the area is quite hilly. Very accommodating staff. Highly recommended.

We loved our large suite which overlooked a small park. Hotel was close to major shopping, restaurants, train stations, and a few local sights. The staff were very helpful, and the daily pastries offered each day in the reception area were quite good. The only drawback was the street noises in the wee hours which precluded us from sleeping through each night.

Perfect for our 4 days in Lisbon. Staff very accommodating. Room outstanding. Very walkable to many transportation hubs. Only negative was the ongoing construction and area improvements within the immediate area.

Hotel Alegria is a very nice boutique hotel that is on a quiet neighborhood but easy access to the center parts of Lisbon. The guest rooms are nicely appointed and the breakfasts are excellent. The only thing I could think of negative is the potential noise from the floor above since the floor is not quite sound proof. On one of the nights I stayed there, there was one night when the guest above walked heavily in the middle of the night and the noise from there is quite obvious that affected my sleep.

Exquisite hotel!
Hotel Alegria is a tastefully decorated boutique hotel. The foyer and breakfast rooms show good taste and attention to detail. Although I arrived late, I was treated very kindly and checkin was smooth and easy. My room was beautiful and large and everrything was much better than I expected. It was more like a 4 star than a 3 star hotel. The continental breakfast was delicious with a wide choice to suit all tastes. The hotel is located in a quiet area but just around the corner from the Avenue de la Liberdad where you can find all the designer stores. In the other direction it is about a 20 minute interesting walk to Barrio Alto where you can stroll through the streets and discover the quirky nature of Lisbon. I was only there for two and a half days but my stay there was wonderful! I will be back!

A jewel box hotel
This is a beautiful little hotel right on a delightful park and is centrally located. My room was a beautiful sunlit retreat that had a very large, functional bathroom and was very quiet. When I come back to Lisbon, I will most certainly stay here again. Oh! Breakfast was awesome and the staff are lovely.
