The location is close to the S. Jorge castle, Lisbon Cathedral, and the lookout. The property itself was good with an elevator, large common area. Breakfast buffett choices were limited but delicious. The neighborhood was better on top of the hill but lower down, there were lots of overflowing garbage bins. There was unpleasant smell just outside the hotel. The area is full of hill and stairs so definitely a bad choice for people with mobility issues. Very narrow streets that close on weekends or limit access certain times so it was tricky getting to the hotel on a Saturday. Wish the hotel warned me about it when I asked about parking. The nearby garage was full so parked at Campo Das Cebolas. €25 per day. They don't take credit card.

Beautiful modern hotel in a great location for walking around and exploring Alfama. We had the duplex suite, but it was quite tight for space if you’re a family of 4.

Absolutely love this hotel! It's in a more private area in the very busy area. Alfama has rich culture and beautiful sceneries! A lot of amazing cafe and restaurants. You have to experience the FADO restaurants. Just be aware bring cash. We have great time in this hotel. The lobby staffs were super friendly and helpful! Especially thanks to Fabio and Fatima (apologies if I spell the name wrong). I got a lot of great advices from them. Great complimentary drinks! Love the cappuccino and hot chocolate! The breakfast was good! Love relaxing in the courtyard. They make check in and out very smoothly. Can't thank you all enough! Definitely recommend this hotel! ❤️❤️❤️

The rooms are small but clean. Free coffee and water in the lobby. The bathroom is small and the water from the shower would leak all over the floor. Good location but be prepared to walk up and down hills.

Great economical place in Lisbon old town
Great economical place to stay in Lisbon. You can take tram 28E to go to Plaza do Comercio and the city center. The cathedral and St. Jorge Castle are walking distance, which was cool. During night time, the area on around this hotel becomes deserted. It’s overall a good place to stay and then go to other areas to enjoy various things in Lisbon. Main attraction this being the old town.

Good stay at Hotel Convento do Salvado
Our only suggestion is better signage so people could find the hotel easier. Our cab dropped us off and said the hotel is nearby. Breakfast was very good with lots of choices. We had a 2 story room with bedroom upstairs and bathroom downstairs. A bit hard to go downstairs at night.

A very nice, bare bones place to stay in the middle of the Alfama. The staff is incredibly helpful, the breakfast is a high-quality European continental breakfast with scrambled eggs and bacon/sausage as well. The location is perfect for walking around a really historic part of Lisbon, just remember that it is quite hilly. The hotel is also close to the cruise terminal, so it is a good choice to spend a few days before you leave on your cruise.

A good find
Finding it is a challenge but once you’re there it’s great. Accessible by foot to old town as well as tourist area - be ready for lots of hills. Very friendly staff with a good breakfast daily. Our deluxe room had upstairs bedroom and downstairs bath.

The staff is very helpful and kind. One staff mrmber, Fatima Silva, went out of her way to verify a restaurant we wanted to visit was open. The entire staff reflected the best in customer service. I’ll return to this place.
