From the moment we arrived we were made very welcome. Simply the best city hotel I have stayed in within Europe. Beautiful rooms, friendly staff, immaculately clean, wonderful buffet breakfast. Away from the buzz of central downtown Lisbon but walkable or €5 for an Uber. Will definitely return in 2025. Deserves a 5 star rating.

Lovely hotel
Great hotel and service albeit a little bit of a trek into the main square. Had a problem with the air-conditioning in our first room but was upgraded wit a little persuasion.

We selected this hotel based on the good rating that it had received. We were disappointed with our experience. I am certain that the Lux was once a fine hotel, maybe 30 years ago, but it is tired now. In our room the curtain was shredded at one end and the patio furniture was not looking much better. The bar area is somewhat cold and sterile with little feeling that this is a place to hang out. Overall, we will not be back.

This property is 2 short blocks off a major thoroughfare so central to all but quiet. Near to the Central Park/ green space, dining, shopping. Museums are accessible via hop on hop off or other modes of transportation.

Maintenance Issues !!
Air conditioning wasn’t working, roof top pool bar was shut and hot tub out of order. Chose this hotel because of the rooftop pool and bar so some what disappointing then the air con at night topped it off. Ladies on reception were friendly but when I asked why the air con wasn’t working could tell it was uncomfortable for them. If I had time I would have spoken to the manager.

Lovely!
The entire team was fantastic great service! Room was perfect. Nice balcony. Roof bar was lovely as was breakfast. Pool area was ok, hottub was closed. Highly recommend. About a mile walk to city center and Principe real.
