It failed my white napkin wipe test for cleanliness.
The desk staff is great. Jose and Tiago helped me with directions and how to use the transportation system and places to eat etc.
I think the mattress is the thing they need to improve. The primary reason for a hotel is to sleep and the mattress is worn out. Time to replace it.
Very helpful, friendly staff. Healthy continental breakfast available. Property is very clean and tidy. Very close to the metro making for an excellent visit to Lisbon!
The hotel was exactly what we needed, within walking distance of Lisbon city centre and many things to see on the way there.
The room was basic, but then again, while on holiday how much time do you spend in the room?!
The staff were top-rate, very friendly and approachable, giving us a map and rundown of the city while we checked in.
Place is affordable and the guys working the front desk were always helpful and friendly. Conveniently located a minute away from Rato station and bus stops, and within walking distance of all the big tourist districts but just enough that it's you can open the windows without it being noisy. Would stay here again.
Easily one of the dirtiest rooms I have ever stayed in-- the kind where you sleep on top of the bed, over all the blankets.
Horrid smell, wax (?) on the floors, stains on the sheets, etc. Checked for bedbugs and found a TERRIFYINGLY stained mattress.

The hotel is located near to the bus, subway station and restaurants, very convenient!
However the shower was very small and its was clogged, the room was fine.
Request a double bed and a crib, got 3 twin beds i
We chose this hotel specifically because it mentioned that they had a baby crib, air conditioning and parking as we needed somewhere to stay overnight to catch a flight in Lisbon the next morning. It gave us the option to choose a double bed or 2 twin beds. We chose a double bed and requested a crib for our baby. When we arrived, they gave a room with 3 twin beds and no air conditioning. The room was tiny, and the beds were very uncomfortable. I had to move one of the mattresses on the floor so that my baby would have a safer place to sleep. We spoke to the peryat the front desk and unfortunately they could do nothing to help us. At least the parking on the street was free because we were not going to spend an extra 9 euros for on-site parking.
Overall was very nice.
Very friendly staff and they all speaking Englisch exept of the cleaning ladies.
Very clean with daily service, ideal location just 2 minutes from the metro station and bus terminus.
When we first arived we got a really small room but Philipp was kind enough to give us an other room.
Thank you Philipp.

The communication between you as a booking site and the hotel needs a BIG improvement. You sent different information to us and the hotel which cause errors and confusion.
First: At the booking we booked a 3 bed room with one double and one single bed. We coosed this specifically since the alternative was a room with EITHER two single or a double bed. The three bed room was marginally more expensive but then we thought we were guaranteed a double bed for us two. At arrival we found our room had three single beds. After contact with the reception we was shown that the information you sent to them was a booking for a room for three people. This was corrected by the hotel by giving us a four bed room which had one double bed.
Second: At the booking we got information from you that our credit card was used for reservation only and that we should pay at the hotel. This information was very clear from your side. To us this is important since the card we have that can be used online is Swedish and is debited in SEK but the hotel was to be paid in EUR. Our main currency is EUR. The current rate between SEK and EUR make payments about 10 % more expensive for us if the Swedish card is used for a payment in EUR. At check out where we expected to pay our visit with our portuguese card, based in EUR, we were told that they already had been paid. This caused an heated argument as they were informed by you that the payment should be made with the card we used for the reservation.

Basic
Small room, very basic, loud street noise if window open as there was no aircon or fan for the room.

The location was quite good - although an uphill climb from the nearby metro station - and we were able to find some supper from a sympathetic restauranteur nearby even though we arrived close to midnight due to a flight delay. However, the room was very small, cramped, and the bathroom door was too short combined with a step down into the room, causing headaches.
I think I got the worst room they had it had a chemical smell that made me sick and I had to stay out of the room most of the night and wash all of my clothes to get the smell out after leaving it was extremely small room
What you would expect from a budget hotel. The building is very old but it's had some minor (sometimes comical) cosmetic updates, such as painting over top of tiles in the bathroom. Staff was very friendly. Wifi works in the room. Decent location, in "Rato". Breakfast was typical continental, with an espresso machine and sugary juice. The beds were quite hard, in typical European fashion. It was also not very soundproof, but the neighbourhood is quiet at night. Parking included was a plus. The elevator is about 100 years old and still works!!
The main complaint is we had a no smoking room and the pillow smelled like smoke :/
