I specifically called and checked on the pool times before my trip and Essence, the front desk manager said they were 9am-10 am.but when I got there. The times were posted as pool opens at 10 am with lights on timer. Checkout is at 11 am. Fitness room and office, both advertised online and on flashing sign tore up/ under construction. Found live COCKROACH on 1st floor. Despite contacting manager & Expedia twice no one has made this right, no discount or refund! Never using Expedia again!!!

The hotel was under renovation but that didn’t interfere with our stay. The king suite room was very nice with tile in the bath and entry but there was no separation it was just a large room. There was a nice size couch and table, with a nice glass work table that separated the areas. The fridge had a small freezer which was nice, bigger would have been better but it worked. The heating/cooling unit was easy to use. The shower had nice water pressure and was a nice size. The tv was on a swivel so it could be seen from the couch or bed. We were on the top (fourth) floor and the elevator getting us there was very slow. The hotel was very clean and nice, I recommend it.
