Mixed Feelings - Hit and Misses
I have mixed feelings about this hotel. On some levels it met my expectations and other times it was a disappointment.
Strict welcome - room not ready at 1.30pm. Fair enough as check in is not till 3pm. Even though a couple before me got their room. Luck of the draw. Sign a waiver that they are not responsible for luggage you leave with them. Didn't make me feel terribly confident.
Check in at 3pm and room is ready. But it wasn't really as
housekeeping had left previous guests' shampoo & body wash bottles in the shower & an odd slipper under a chair. I couldn't be bothered to get them to come up again as after a long international connecting flight, I just wanted a bed to sleep.
Room was fine. Minimalist design that is looking a bit tired now with wear and tear. The bed was very comfortable though and that's the main thing.
Breakfast - Good with choices. Coffee machine did not work the whole time, so they had to help make. Ran out of croissants and told that would be 30-40 minutes for more. Some options not available, but some were and were good. And it was included in the rate so always appreciated, Service was ok. Put me off trying out for dinner though as I just didn't have the confidence that would be great.
It's a good central location in the old town right on the river with a side street. Lots of restaurants and shops around. Roof top deck with a very small plunge pool.
It's a perfectly fine hotel that probably just needs a bit of TLC and improved service.
