For this hotel you really need a car as there is no pedestrian access to the shops. The cooks were lovely and very accommodating as was a lady called Emily who seemed to do most things. Unfortunately you can hear everything in the rooms above. This is a convenient stay if you are working in the area but not suitable for a mini break!

Stay was ok, hotel staff sorted out our ground floor request on arrival, but did say to call at time if booking to make sure availability. Food at pub was typical family favourites and ok. One observation found the pub quite dark inside, more illumination for me at least.

We stayed at Sessile Oak by Marston's Inns and really appreciated its convenient location — close to shopping malls, a beach, and with easy access to nearby destinations. The property offered a peaceful setting, perfect for a relaxing break. On arrival, there was a bit of a queue, but the staff handled it professionally and were genuinely pleasant throughout our stay. Plenty of parking and good security, including gated access with a magnetic reader system, added to the sense of comfort. Overall, a practical and well-managed place for travellers looking for peace, convenience, and a touch of security.
