My friend and I stayed at the Tides Motor Inn so that we could attend the Halloween Screamfest at the Bayville Amusement Park next door. The close proximity to the Park made it convenient. I've been to this place with family many times in the past, for years. Its not a 5 star hotel or fancy place with lots of luxury amenities. They are however located across the street from the beach, in a pretty quiet small ton in Long Island. Its walking distance to a supermarket, and there are a few restaurants in close proximity for you to eat at. Of course the main attraction is the Adventure Park next door,and the beach across the street..They also have a decent pool opened from June to September. The rooms have all been upgraded from when we first went a few years ago. The carpet has been removed, the TVs, furniture, and bedding upgraded..The rooms werent spe fancy but very clean and nice.

Great location. Nice staff. The property is a bit dated. Some of the rooms are better than others. Ask to change if you dont like the room. Not too bad for a 2 1/2 star motel. Short walk to the beach and resturants.

The building and its upkeep are deplorable. The rooms are falling apart, it was full of mold, bugs and dirt the is ground in which adds to a smell similar to dirty feet. The condition of the room left me sleeping in my car over night. When I re-entered the room to use the toilet the bug infestation reminded me of the days I camped in tents while back packing. The towels were thread bear, I can only compare them to Dollar General discount paper towels, those paper towels are more absorbent and have a softer feel on the skin. Never stay at this hell hole. Yes I slept with my “protection” next to me. I never stayed the second night on the grounds or in the room. I slayed the second night, paying again, at a separate hotel.

Didn’t like the characters living there and hanging out. Dirty room, flickering lights. We checked in and paid, went to the room and then left and never went back. We didn’t even feel safe leaving our car parked overnight. Stay away! We lost $174 rather than sleep there.

The hotel is adequate. It's clean. There's no ice machine or any coffee machine in the room. There is a small fridge and a microwave. Felt slightly sketchy but was fine.

Place needs updating, but it serves the purpose. JUST needed a place to stay for overnight. It did have the necessary amenities like Microwave & Refrigerator. Only thing missing was a Iron & Iron board. But I did have to say i did have the room that had a Full size bed.

I didnt stay there was a stain in the tube i tryed for 1hr to remove it dont k ow what it was it was sticky and brown i couldnt get it out so i asked for my money back they said no i left also they charged me 20 damage fee and said no refunds
