The booking and check-in communication from Aspen was prompt and efficient. I could not find the property at first, as it is set back behind railings and trees, which have to be walked around to a gate on the far side. The map identified the property as the Sussex Fish Bar, which is close by!
Reception was efficient and I was shown which keys to use and where my room was located. This was in the basement and contained an enclosed kitchen, shower room and bedroom/lounge with sofa, table and chairs, storage cupboard, but no wardrobe. Tea bags, coffee, sugar and milk was provided in the kitchen, along with cooking utensils.
The only blemish for me was that I could not activate the automatic soap dispenser in the shower, so I recommend that guests have their own toiletries to hand. I reported this on departure to the friendly receptionist.
The property is a short walk from Paddington Station and is close to Hyde Park and Bayswater Road.
After departure, I discovered that I had left my phone charger in the room. I emailed the property to inform them and received a prompt reply to say that it had been found and would be available for me to collect at my convenience.
