The property is in a nice area, but that is the only positive. There is no parking and nowhere to safely be dropped off or picked up. The room was significantly smaller than advertised and it was filthy. The bedding and towels were visibly dirty. I wiped down the surfaces with Clorox wipes and they turned black from dust and grime. the amount of dust collected by the bed was unacceptable. The washing machine was disgusting, to the point of being unusable. On top of that, all the toiletries, shampoo, body wash, hand wash, and even dish soap, were completely empty. I am genuinely disgusted. I would not recommend this place and I will not be returning.

Good location

Internet was reliable. Room was fine but there were not many plugs. No where to plug in the hairdryer close to the bathroom or a mirror. The light switches are odd too. The bed was cool ( canopy) but on either side of the bed there were lights and buttons to control them. On the left side the bulb was blown and that switch seemed to only control that light. The other side controlled the other lights in the unit. The bathroom was clean but could use some updating. The shower had an open grate and there was a strong sewer smell. The shower door also leaked and every time i used it and the bathroom floor was wet despite towels placed there etc. The location is great. Felt very safe and it’s close to groceries and restaurants and a straight walk of about 10 minutes to tower bridge. Overall it was a good experience but I’ve stayed in other Locke properties and they were nicer

Our check in experience was miserable. We were told repeatedly that our room would be ready soon and to check back "in 15 minutes". An hour later and they still weren't ready. A literal nightmare to deal with after a long travel day. Some rooms were not even close to the booking link and on top of that, the staff working was inconsistent and rude.

Staff are always so helpful and friendly. My only one issue on this stay was that the there was a really strong chemical/cleaning smell in the corridor and in our room which was very overpouring, like a sickly strong plug in and quite nauseating. After airing the room it went away slightly and had completely disappeared by the time we got back.

Honestly the extra star is for the staff. They were friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived. However, this property does not look like the above pictures…anymore. The rooms are dated, with scuff marks, and general wear and tear. The TV was almost hanging off the wall, and the bed was really uncomfortable. We also had issues with the AC, but luckily we had mild weather the whole trip so it wasn’t too bad. For some reason, we were put into an accessible room, which was not great. The room itself was spacious, but the wet room/bathroom was a massive problem. For starters, there is an accessible sink right at the toilet, and for two people over 5’9”, this was a problem (aka we had to sit on the toilet sideways…). But the biggest issue was the shower, which just had a singular drain in the floor. We were there 4 days and I don’t think the floor was ever dry. Plus, with there being no housekeeping, our wet towels (which we had to use to dry the floor) sat in the corner making the whole room smell foul and damp. We thought about asking to change rooms, but after looking on the website I saw that the hotel was full. The area was nice - but a bit of a trek to nearest tube station. Overall, the hotel itself is around 2 and a half stars in my opinion - having stayed at other Locke properties, it definitely wasn’t up to standard.
