Fine but no better

It was fine. Which is perhaps not the level to aspire to. But, the room was well priced and the location is great. On the downside the “double” bed was TINY. And the ventilation was ancient so it was a hot night even with it cranked to the max. It’s quite a dated hotel.

Room was very poorly presented for “Club” level room. Two reasonably uncomfortable twin beds. Very intrusive exterior noise due to no double glazing and poorly fitted windows, ear plugs are essential. Disinterested staff in a fairly shabby bar which was billed as a “welcoming irish themed pub and sports bar”. Would definitely not stay again.

I have made a complaint about the cleanliness of our room but have heard nothing back so have resorted to responding to this request for a review instead. The room hadn’t been dusted or cleaned for a while. Just beds made. Pretty grim. Such a shame because the hotel was nice otherwise and in a great location.

Air con was very noisy and took a while to find the controls so that could switch it off, would be helpful if there were instructions left in the room for this! Fridge was noisy an couldn’t figure out how to turn this off as there was nothing in there. Bed was comfy.

Great service and clean. Didn’t realize there was no AC in the rooms, so the room was quite warm from the sun shining in at first. Very close to the tube which is perfect to exploring more of the city. Would stay again.

The hotel is in a prime location for seeing the sights. Keninsgton Palace and gardens a short walk away, and the High Street Kensington tube station a 5 minute walk up to the High Street. This connects to the Circle and District lines which will take you easily to most attractions. As noted by other reviewers the hotel rooms are showing a little wear and tear…a little tired…definitely in need of a refresher in the not too distant future. The staff were very helpful and polite. There is a C&C mini cafe where I had a continental breakfast each day before heading out. Fresh and reasonable price-wise. Great Happy Hour from 2-6 in the on site bar, The Stag.

IT'S A NICE HOTEL. I have stayed here several times before. It would be nice to have 2 chairs in tghe room, so that it would not be necessary for one person to sit on the bed.

Requested cot but got an extra bed instead. Soon remedied. Had to queue a bit for check in. Hotel staff very helpful and friendly. Room very comfortable. Plumbing worked.
