A good hotel

Good location but let down by poor training of staff. Batteries not working in remote, house keeping offered us another room rather than replace the batteries. 😂😂 Info not passed on between managers for example. Cooked breakfast cold both times we tried it. Overpriced at £15 each. The Ivy across the road is £17.50. Still worth booking if you can overlook these.

Good but could do a lot better.

Not bad for an old product, does need a refurb. Very strange positioning of plug sockets in room. None at bedside. Great Air-con. Breakfast disappointing. Cheap quality everything. Hot breakfast badly cooked and sauces were awful, tasted off.

Position was excellent. Room was clean and comfortable. Food and service in the Brasserie was disappointing. Breakfast was of average quality. This Hotel appears to be set up for large parties not couples or families. All in all a disappointing stay.

This hotel is in a fantastic location for dining, shopping and transport links. The staff are helpful but check in was very tedious even though it wasn’t busy. Also, when we tried to contact reception or room services from our room nobody would answer. Very frustrating. Our rooms were very shabby and dated and didn’t feel clean! They are overdue a renovation! Bathrooms were also needing renovation, not to mention broken shower rail etc. I will not stay here again.

My room on the first night was very poor, any noise from outside was amplified by the terrible design of the hotel. I was upgraded for the second night of my stay and this room was better. This is not a 4* hotel though, regardless of what the booking sites might say, not even close. Talking of which the hotel’s website states a Standard room has an in-room safe - it does not. I shall not be staying here or at one of this group’s hotels in the future. If however you enjoy broken showers, blood stains on the carpet and furniture and decor dating back to about 1975 this is the place for you!

I have stayed at this hotel multiple times in the past during my business trips to London, but this time was by far the worst experience I’ve had. From the moment I arrived, there was visible chaos. The reception staff were unhelpful and displayed a poor attitude. In the bathroom, there were not enough towels, and basic hygiene essentials such as hand soap were missing—only wall-mounted shower gel was provided. The quality of the breakfast was very poor, with dirty, sticky tables and unappetizing food. I would not consider staying here again and definitely do not recommend this hotel.

This once lovely hotel is very dated & in need of a refurb. Safe didn’t work. Phone didn’t work. Not even a drawer in the room. Bar tables sticky. No recycling or trash bins in cafe area. 1 elevator broken since this time last year. Won’t be staying there again after 4 years in a row.
