Great short break

It was a great base for a couple of days in London for the theatre. Comfy beds, good pillows, nice shower and a good choice, hot and replenished often at breakfast. There was a bit of a queue to get in to breakfast in the morning but nothing too dramatic. The only thing I would say is we only got 3 towels in the room even though there were 4 of us which I thought was a bit odd, I’m sure it would not have been too much trouble if we requested another but we managed with 3 ok.. just maybe request more if needed. The hotel is about 15 mins walk to the nearest tube either Russell Square or King’s Cross so bear in mind if you have little ones that get tired legs.

It’s kind of in “no man’s land” between King’s Cross and Farringdon, but a perfectly acceptable hotel nonetheless. Staff very helpful and service in bar and restaurants very prompt. We had requested a cot during the booking process, but this was not in the room at check-in and it took five requests over four hours before one was eventually provided (just in the nick of time!).

Great two-night stay for business

Very pleasant stay for a couple of nights on business. Staff were friendly and helpful (I managed to check in very early, which I was very grateful for!), the room was well maintained, and the WiFi was great both in the room and in the restaurant/lounge/bar area. I didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment, but the fish and chips was very nice and service was quick. It’s further from Kings Cross station than I expected (about a 15-20 minute walk), but that’s my own fault for not double checking the map! It was an easy taxi ride with my cases. All in all, a very pleasant stay that I’d be happy to recommend.
