I arrived on Thursday 29 May after a reall bad trip from Plymouth on train. My daughter and I checked into room where I started having a panic attack and severe anxiety. I took some pills which usually calm me down but they didn’t work. As my daughter needed to sleep and I wasn’t able to,I went down to reception at about 0130. There I met Gracjan ,Wahid and manager Ayoub. I explained about my panic attacks and all the things my daughter and I were scheduled to do over next 2 days but I was petrified about doing anything or going anywhere. My heart was racing like mad and I really felt scared. They all sat me down and for the next 3 hours let me sit in reception keeping an eye on me. Ayoub pulled over a chair and sat and talked to me for half an hour at my lowest point. He came upmwith lots of useful suggestions to help me after I told him where I was going etc and how I felt. One was taking the adjoining room to mine which had the doors that link to next room for the following night so even if I wasn’t well,my daughter could rest easy knowing she could just open door to see me. I said yes so paid for extra room. Since it was by now 4.30am and I was feeling a little better, he so kindly said that to not wake or scare my daughter,that I could take the room there and then to use at no extra cost as it was empty anyway. They made me a cup of tea and continually asked how I was. Their help for me was above and beyond their duty. Please pass on my thanks and gratitude to them.

Great hotel in Stratford. Very handy for shopping or events and close to all transport links. Great coffee shop in foyer. Rooms are comfy and a good night sleep is almost a guarantee - I’d love the pillows at home, but wifi is spotty in areas. If you use digital check in and departure you have no interaction or contact with staff which means that unless you have a request or a need to speak to them there is little customer interaction in this area. Detracts from customer experience but an efficient check in and check out experience so depends on your preferences. Price is very competitive with more budget hotels in the area depending on if events are on or not - I would stay here every time over premier inn or travel lodge given the price point, facilities etc. Toiletries in room are really good! Rooms are styled well.

I had originally booked a three-night stay at The Gantry but ended up needing to cut the trip short by a day. Before arriving, I reached out to both Expedia and the hotel to try to amend my reservation. At first, due to the cancellation policy, it seemed like the change wasn’t possible—but thankfully, after Expedia spoke with Alex, the manager on duty, everything was sorted out smoothly. No much drama, or stress—just how we like it! When I arrived, Bahja welcomed me at check-in. Although my booking still reflected the original three nights, she quickly took care of it with professionalism and a smile. Throughout my stay, Bahja was incredibly accommodating. At checkout, both Bahja and Khalid were equally helpful, wrapping things up with the same warm service. I’ve been staying at The Gantry for years as a Hilton Honors member, and it never disappoints. The hotel is plush, the location is unbeatable, and the staff always go the extra mile. I’ll definitely be back—hopefully for the full three nights or more next time!

Lovely Hotel

Lovely hotel , staff who greeted us were very friendly. Restaurant and bar staff were very attentive. The room was immaculate with lovely shampoos and soaps. Sat in the sun on the terrace and decided we had chosen well.
