Pro: Nice modern 4 star hotel with affordable prices. Con: the bass tone of the music in the lobby can be heard in the room. As it starts early at 6am and ends at 10pm it can be disturbing. Despite I recommend the hotel.

We returned to do another extended stay at the Dorsett. This one wasn't as smooth. Crib issues at the beginning, multiple times locked out of our room, confusion as to when they wanted payment (at end, no.. midway, no.. at end, no.. now), and looking at the property with more open eyes to see how aged it looks. Example: water dripping from ceiling in lobby, carpet and furniture was very worn or stained, bathroom paint was peeling or needed deep cleaning. Finally, the discretionary tip may be a new thing in London but just raise your prices and pay your employees fair wages versus having it be a contention between customer and staff.

Could be better.
Not so good. Various issues with the rooms. Seems like a lot of refurbishment going on so noisy. Room allocation was very poor. Lovely staff but I feel overwhelmed by issue in the hotel. We have stayed many times and it seems dishevelled and run down.

When we checked in at the Dorsett Hotel, Maria has made our experience exceptional. Upon arrival, we mentioned that we feel more comfortable in a room with a window due to mild claustrophobia.
