Welcome to Hotel Purgatory. The pictures promised clean, modern rooms. What we got was a lukewarm time capsule of broken dreams. The bed? One half felt like concrete, the other like soggy cotton wool. I spent the night clinging to the edge, trying not to roll into the abyss. At 5'10", my feet dangled off the end – ideal for those who enjoy partial circulation. Sleep? Forget it. The London Underground might as well run through the wardrobe – the room shook and hummed like a possessed fridge every time a train passed. Temperature? Approaching the surface of the sun. The standalone AC (see photo) made more noise than wind, and less wind than a bored hamster with asthma. And then, the pièce de résistance: the bathroom. “Suite” is generous. This was less spa, more condemned cell. I’ve showered in jungle huts, mountain lodges, and roadside motels – this was worse. Dirt, mould, and despair, all in one tiled box (photos attached, bring eye bleach). Comfort: 0/10 Cleanliness: 0/10 Noise Levels: 0/10 Recommend to a friend? Not if I like them. Recommend to an enemy? Absolutely. Avoid unless you’re collecting trauma for a memoir.

Staff were helpful and friendly. They left plenty of tea, milk and sugar in the room which is always a bonus.

Not really happy with this hotel receptionist was not very welcoming even called him and didn’t even say name of hotel. Bed was very uncomfortable couldn’t turn light off in hallway water speed was really fast.

Very small room which was expected. Reception guy not overly helpful. Understood budget but will not stay again. With older sister, too many stairs, reception not interested in changing rooms. Hot water tap didn’t work.

Good for a Quick Sleep

Everything is small, bed, sink, shower. The room was clean and hot water worked well. Was a good place to stay for just a night when seeing the city. Host was nice, just don’t expect a roomy or modern hotel.

The owner at the reception was very rude. He was not ready to hold the bag for an hour. I reached an hour early hoping to keep the bag with them. Instead of saying a simple no or a humble sorry he said "you should have not even come here before 2 pm". I decided to not even show up again and rather stay at a much humble place. Kindness and good words doesnt cost anything but some people are just arrogant for no reason.

Our room was freshly painted and bathroom very tight, but not bad for a quick overnight stay! The manager/owner of the property did us the big favor of holding our luggage for a few hours after check-out. The area is great! Lots of great and cozy restaurants and bars, including a small but cool shopping area near by. Lastly, my wife left her Apple watch in the room and great to know it was kept safe with manager/owner. We appreciate the excellent customer service!

My room was on the top floor which there was an awful lot of stairs and ectremely steep. The room was absolutley tiny you could lie in bed and put the kettle on. The tv wouldnt work had hurrenous signal, and the the shower room was dingy, stepped upto it and could touch either side of the room if i put my arms out. Sink was filthy

The hotel inside looked as if its previously just been painted and smelled fresh, we got the top room, decent size with own bathroom, ( if you are not fit or able for alot of stairs i wouldnt recommend) the bed was comfortable. Fairly clean standards. The man who checked us in was very friendly and informative about the hotel and check out time ect. Would stay here again.

Great value and location

Our room was great for a family of 4,a double and 2 singles. Basic shower room but excellent for the price especially given the location. Take a bit of time to explore locally for food etc
