The location of the property was excellent, just opposite Hyde Park, however the rooms were extremely small and awkward with some steep steps from the bathroom up to the bed area which could present a problem if getting up in the night. The air conditioning was very efficient which was ideal as it was very hot when we stayed and the room was clean. For an overnight stay this hotel was adequate but I wouldn’t have wanted to stay any longer as there was limited space to hang clothes, or store toiletries in the bathroom.

There was one young lady at the desk who was very friendly. Unfortunately the one who checked me in was very curt. The staff in the dining room was quite nice and helpful. The interior of the hotel reflected a historical beauty. Within walking distance was church, shops and dining.

This hotel was underwhelming. The room was very small. Difficult to manage bags for two people. There was no shower door or curtain which meant water went everywhere in the bathroom. The beds were hard. The pillows were small and hard and after requesting extra pillows twice, none were delivered. The front desk gent was not helpful and we seemed to be an inconvenience to him. It's only redeeming qualify was the tube access with two stations very close.

Bed was too soft for my liking, probably needs replacement. Very convenient location to two tube stations and multiple grocery stores. Very regal lobby.

The hotel was beautiful and locate near Hyde Park. The room was very tiny the bed was pushed against the wall on one side. I had to crawl into bed. With our luggage there was no room to move

The building of the property and interiors of reception/sitting areas are beautiful. Disappointed by just how small the rooms actually are. We had a superior and it said ‘ideal for couples’. We couldn’t walk down one side of the bed as it was too narrow and when we had to borrow an iron, it took up the main floor space in the room where we couldn’t get dressed at the same time. No seat at the table, an old TV and no black out blinds. You also couldn’t get in to use the bathroom facilities without completely shutting the door as it was that small. The tiniest shower screen for the bath/shower was there which meant the bathroom got covered in water. I expected better from this hotel.

The room was next to the exit door for staff where they congregated smoking and general chitchat, noisy and smelled of smoke from early hours of the morning. Shower was not connected to the head and squirted in the wrong direction, hotel tired and In need of refurb, breakfast food was cheap varieties . Room wasn’t ready despite it being 16.00

Pros: good location across from Hyde park, close to a tube station, pretty quiet, really nice staff and lobby, and elevator! Cons: if you’re coming from America, you might be shocked by the size of the shower and the entry way to the room. I’m 5’6” and I was barely able to reach above my head. I know this is typical of the UK, but I’ve also stayed in other hotels with a bigger shower (for a similar price).

Check in was very busy around 3pm with queues out of the door at times, we had called earlier and left our bags then returned to check in. We were told if bags not brought to room in ten minutes after successfully checking in to give reception a call which we did ,it was nearly 45 minutes before the bags arrived which was frustrating as we wanted to change and go out. To be fair the staff we spoke to were all helpful and seemed to be doing their best in hot conditions but they seemed swamped. One member of staff we spoke to said it was ridiculously busy . When we returned in the evening we couldn’t sleep as the air con was so noisy , it sounded like a hair dryer on full so we turned it off. The breakfast in the morning was very good and the hotel looks beautiful and is an excellent location for Hyde Park etc but maybe they need to stagger check in times to cope with demand at busy times perhaps ?

I liked the building and breakfast was good. The size of the room was very small, the shower shield in the bathroom was useless. The whole room got wet when I showered. Would have liked to have opened the window. Much of the decor needed refreshing. The staff were all very friendly.
