Our stay at Sandman was good. Our room was clean and the staff were great with check-in. The shower was great. Amazing water pressure. Just have to be careful when you walk out the hotel doors as right next door, there is a shelter with all kinds of people doing drugs or in a drugged out of state of mind. There's lots more all the way up Dundas St as I walked to the Canada Life Place building to see a show. I didn't have any issues - only had a few people approach me for money near the concert venue. We parked in the upper parking lot and it was completely fine. The one thing I didn't love was breakfast. There were breakfast sandwiches wrapped in plastic but only egg and cheese when I got there around 8:15 am. Also, just the usual cereal, toast, bagel, bananas, apples, granola bars, apple, orange, cranberry juice, tea, coffee. Other than that, our stay was comfortable and I would stay at this hotel again if I were to visit London.

Water didn’t drain from tub as you were showering, an hour later, ready to go out and water was still draining. coffee cups were not sealed individually and noticed on cleaning cart, they were just laying loose on bottom shelf of the cleaning cart. loose not sterile.not a safe environment to be walking in very rundown area. Lots of homeless people around. Should have a restaurant or some fast food service brochures available so you know were to go to eat.

The staff were very nice but we got to the hotel and human fecal matter was on the sidewalk. Homeless people were blocking the doorway to the parkade. The toilet flooded and we called the front desk and no one was available to help so the toilet overflowed. Had to pack up and switch rooms due to the toilet overflow while we were trying to get to a grad ceremony. The hotel is dated and needs to improve their upkeep. Beds were uncomfortable both beds sank in the middle. Shared feedback with the front staff and they kept saying there is only so much they can do and they have contacted the city about the shelter right next door and this is London Ontario for you. Overpriced for poor quality stay.

The carpets are damaged, dirty, and marked up. I had a half dozen clearly visible dirty spots on the carpet in my room. Nice staff and the bed, bathroom, etc. were tidy but the carpet was noticeably bad.

It did the job

The room was clean just very dated . Couch was uncomfortable. Had to park outside as trucks don’t fit underground . A lot of homeless hanging around. Would not want to be walking around at night or with kids.
