Restaurant was a highlight. Room had a few issues in terms of cleanliness, mostly watermarks on the sink as if it hadnt been wiped down from previous occupant. Otherwise nice spacious room. Would be nice to offer a complimentary shuttle to the airport.

Hair dryer in room didn’t work, we had just arrived by plane and it was 10pm. No one would answer the phone at the front desk or at housekeeping so I had to get dressed, walk down to the front desk with wet hair and beg for a new hairdryer to be brought to me. Because I quickly catch a cold if my hair is too wet. New hairdryer was brought quickly but the a/c in the room blows right onto the bed…it was too hot to turn it off at night. Wish there was a way to change the direction of the a/c vent and wish people would answer the phone when calling from the room.

The hotel appears to be new. At least it was very smart inside. Check-in was at a machine; all done in two minutes with help from an efficient staff member. Room was large and well appointed. Great bar and easy dinner menu. All staff were excellent; helpful and welcoming. Delighted to learn that there is an Avis rental pick-up and drop-off in the hotel and outside. Definitely my choice if using Terminals 2 and 3. Perhaps 5, but not so sure.

Fit for purpose

Stayed for one night before flying from Heathrow which is what I suspect most travellers use this hotel for. The room was clean and comfortable enough although the beds were very narrow and far too soft for our preference. We had a pleasant enough evening meal in the restaurant, the staff were friendly but it was very overpriced. There are lots of Heathrow-adjacent hotels and we chose this hotel based on the breakfast reviews as we wanted a decent meal before travelling. We were therefore disappointed for various reasons. Firstly, breakfast was advertised as seating until 10am, we went to sit at 9.55 and staff were clearly irritated by this. What we had was nice enough but we didn't get to enjoy pancakes or waffles and were rushed throughout as they tidied up around us. It's a buffet breakfast so lots would have been thrown away as the doors were swiftly shut by about 10 past so any of us choosing a later sitting were denied a second plate. Realistically, they don't actually serve you properly until 10 so go before half 9 if you can or better still, pay less and eat at one of the airport eateries as you pay extra for this 'privilege'
