a doss house at best
the outside looked great friendly staff however room was something close to a doss house see photos holes in windows curtains ,smashed up bathroom with poor repaired parts which can be replaced, outside window roof full of rubbish just thrown ... there is no effort to repair anything... nothing of these things were unfixable just the management is obviously lazy . i am certainly no princess i stayed in bad places but this one of the onw worst as you can see .. if the reception was like the room it maybe different

this hotel needs work
In dire need of paint and repair. There was a mouse/rat trap in the room. Sharp screws were protruding from the door.One door frame was completely free of the wall. Pipe and electrical were exposed the hall way.Bed was completely worn out. Area was ok and the staff were ok.

Terrible experience...My room light was not working after many time told to hotel staff but light was not fixed. I was managed three days with bed side reading light.

Room was very small, shower over the bath leaked, shower curtain was mouldy, hot drinks facilities were very poor, room decor was very nasty. Cheap london stay granted but wouldn't stay or consider staying here again.

Cheap.
You get what you pay for. Works for a cheap stay but in desperate need of a deep clean and refurbishment. Even with windows wide open in December the whole hotel felt like a sauna. Felt dirty all over and needs a deep clean. And a lot of basic repairs and decorating.

Inexpensive, but hotel badly needs a makeover.
Hotel is well-located near to West Brompton station. Room rather cramped. Standards of cleanliness and maintenance dire. Bed fairly comfortable. Internet needed regular re-booting, but connection good. Would not return unless desperate for somewhere to stay.

Sent this complaint to Expedia, who had a response from the so called “hotel” who completely refused any form of a refund of compensation Good evening I am writing to you to make an official complaint in regards to our recent booking and stay at Hotel Lily on …….. The hotel is beyond unclean, disgusting, a health hazard and in need of complete demolition. I understand the star rating and some of the reviews reflect this on Trip Advisor and some of Expedia itself may have detailed some of this, but we went ahead with our stay thinking that the hotel may have made much needed improvements and changes. This was not the case on our arrival and stay. As the complete hotel looked the same state, we did not complain to the hotel directly as knowing it would make no difference at all, looking at the rest of the hotel, corridors, communal areas etc. We went elsewhere in the day and just managed to crash there at night (just about). I would expect even a budget hotel to be at least clean and safe for the people that are staying there? Please find the attached photograph evidence of the hotels appearance and state! I am very shocked as a regular customer of Expedia that yourselves would be associated with such an appalling business/venue. I would like someone to look into this situation and some sort of compensation be given to ourselves for what had been experienced. I look forward to hearing from yourselves. With Regards
