I expected something more.
We chose this facility as it was close to the hospital and looked good on the website. The price point was in the top three listed for London. Based on this I expected more. The lobby was small, uninspiring and had not been vacuumed during the day - salt and water everywhere on the floor. The decorations were almost non existent. The room was clean, beds were comfortable and washroom clean and well appointed. But the room was almost ridiculously small. Only one person could walk across the room at a time meaning someone had to move to sit on the bed of the other wanted to use the washroom. It was “OK” but really as one of the three most expensive places in London I expected more. The restaurant at breakfast was pricy but the meal took so long to come out we couldn’t eat it as we had an appointment 5 minutes away. We have ours elves 45 minutes to eat breakfast but it wasn’t enough. I wish I could be more positive but as someone who has travelled extensively for business I felt this really was not value for money.

I had a lovely day. The only negative and it really was not a problem, is that there is no elevator from the fourth and fifth floor. My suite was on the fifth floor, but they were extremely accommodating and helped me with my luggage. All in all it was a lovely stay.

The facility seemed very clean, it’s spacious and is used for conferences etc by businesses, we stayed for leisure. Beds were comfortable, shower pressure was amazing, the only qualm I had with our room (especially for a hotel that is away from the downtown rush and noise) was that the fridge was very loud at night especially when it was clicking on and off it literally woke me up out of my sleep, same with heating element for the room, it was loud coming on and shutting off. I did not get a good nights sleep here because of the in-room noises, I turned off the thermostat but couldn’t find a way to unplug the mini fridge. I believe we were on the second floor, I forgot the room number. Guy at the front desk was very pleasant upon arrival!! Property is very nice though, we did not dine so cannot comment on that. In-laws stayed and well and didn’t have an issue with noisy appliances. Overall for the price point I’d stay again, but ask for a room without a fridge.

Ivey Spencer Leadership Centre is a great place to stay when visiting London, and a lovely alternative to downtown hotels. Staff are great, hotel is quiet and has beautiful grounds. Easy free parking. Especially handy if travelling to the university campus or hospital but also very convenient for big shopping and smaller shopping areas. I had not stayed here before, but I’m very glad I found it and chose it and I will go back next time! Highly recommended.

Quiet idyllic retreat
It was clean and quiet place to stay. The grounds and history were exceptional. The beds were a bit hard for my liking. But everything else was wonderful!
