I called the receptionist next day after waking up in the morning to inform them my mattress was damaged. The right side of the mattress was damaged and bent inwards which caused me severe backache after sleeping during the night because the mattress was uneven. The management promised the issue will be resolved and mattress will be changed. Despite repeated requests, the management failed to address the issue and I had to sleep on the same mattress the next night which was extremely uncomfortable.

It took over 15mins to be attended to during check-in. Granted the receptionists were busy but it shouldn't have taken so long. I found the room easily and it was clean. The trash of the previous occupant hadn't been emptied. Though it goes without saying that the room was previously occupied, an unemptied trash can is a rude reminder of this.

The staff was fantastic. Front desk staff was very accommodating. They booked us early morning transport and transport to Heathrow for very reasonable prices. Having worked in the hospitality business for over 20 years I can appreciate how hard all of the staff worked for a 5 star stay for my daughter and myself. Train station and subway only two blocks away was a bonus. Room service was also very good.

The Marriott Hotel Maide Vale is in a great location three stops from the Paddington Hotel near Abbey Road. What I appreciated is that the rooms are nice and spacious and not the tiny little spots around Paddington station. Our room was well designed and we appreciated having the fridge as there are a number of grocery stores within walking distance as well as restaurants. The staff were always very welcoming and friendly. I would recommend this place and glad I found it.

The service was great. Friendly staff. When we asked for item for the room they quickly delivered them. Rooms were nice with the most comfortable beds. Easy travel from the Tube to the city.

Nice stay

Overall very good and the staff were very accommodating and friendly. Good location away from the busy downtown area. Elevators are a little slow and one of the three was broken down for our entire stay.

Pool

It was good.big pull was the pool but not clear it was part of a members club. Pool was dirty and hard to get a swim in between classes etc. also a member was not happy I was there with my two children and voiced it. Not a pleasant experience
