Upon arrival the first thing we noticed was the pile of trash (a couple feet high) stretching across the entire front of the building and impeding the walkway to the entrance. The floors were dirty, the beds, showers, and floors had hair and gum. The 42" television boasted about in the features of the property was smashed, as well as the glass stovetop, the cover for the door of the dishwasher was gone, and many "repairs" were needed. The doorknob for one of the bedroom doors only worked from the hallway (had to open it up with a credit card) and there were canisters of nitrous oxide both outside the unit and filling up a closet (if you don't know what nitrous oxide is used for in London it only takes a quick internet search). However the big problem was the lack of heat in the unit. After many complaints to the property management company, Sojo Stay Group, Ltd., and more than 24 hours later the temperature inside the unit went from 14.5 C to 16.5 C with nobody coming to take a look at it in over 24 hours of communication. This is in violation of the Tenancy Act for the U.K. and because of the unsafe conditions that were not being attended regardless of our complaints (I have a whole log of e-mails and photos to back up my side of the story) we were then "forced" to find another place to stay for the remainder of our trip.
Complaints to Expedia have continuously fallen on deaf ears as Expedia, without showing any evidence to counter ours, sides with negligent manager.
