Convenient for transport., room was clean but could do with a bit of a makeover. It was also noisy being on the first floor. Breakfast was excellent.. very friendly and helpful cleaning staff and front desk staff. Check in a bit long!!!

The entire forth floor smelled of mold and my room had visible mold on the bathroom walls and the curtains. Changed to a room on the fifth floor which was mold free but very worn down. Staff was very friendly but would not recommend staying here.

The hotel is next to Gloucester Road metro station. This is important as the traffic congestion in London is worse every year Save yourself from traffic and use the tube/metro. The hotel is a business hotel with a workable fitness room. Ceiling in the fitness room is a little low for anyone wanting to use the treadmill. You are in walking distance to Natural History museum. Across the street is a grocery store , where I would go as one cannot eat fish and chips daily.

We stayed at the hotel for 5 days. The rooms were large and bathrooms were excellent and the hotel is in a quiet location not on the main street. The only irritation was the TV sound was poor and the number of TV stations was limited. The location is next to the Gloucester underground station with very easy rides to all the galleries and museums in London. There is a Waitrose next to the station to pick up snacks, drinks and newspapers etc. We would certainly stay here again.

Underwhelming and with issues
Pros: hotel is extremely well situated across the street from the tube with many restaurants and shops nearby. Surrounding neighbourhood is beautiful, walkable and felt safe. Larger rooms, clean linens and big towels Cons: Stayed 8 nights in October. Upon arrival, room was terribly disappointing. It was generally dirty, smelled musty, bathroom tile was chipped and vanity/room furniture was beat up. Asked to switch rooms and told I could move the next day. Second room was cleaner, the smell and general room condition was better. Glass on dresser/desk top meant it wasn’t as damaged. On 5th day, a pipe under the shower was leaking to room below. I was notified and given 10 mins to switch rooms and move belongings again. New room was similar but A/C didn’t work. Warm weather made it stuffy without any cool air circulating plus window didn’t open. Maintenance came and was blasting cold when they left. Once the thermostat was turned slightly warmer, air stopped working. We opted to remain in room the rest of stay to avoid packing again. We had friends also staying in hotel and their rooms were similar to ours, old/tired with A/C issues Lifts were under construction entire stay and were very slow. Some staff were very helpful, (thank you), but many weren’t. Breakfast was underwhelming and cold, I can’t recommend. I wouldn’t stay here again but would look nearby as location is great. I’m a very frequent traveller and disappointed this didn’t measure up.
