Room itself was nice. The toilet ceiling is a joke and makes the most awful noise when opening the door, not good if you are with a light sleeper. Unable to reposition the shower head. The shower also needs regrouting. Only 2 tea bags and milk. No biscuits or water provided, unlike other hotels we have stayed in, in London. Staff lovely and helpful.

Served its purpose

Good set of facilities, clean, friendly and helpful staff but the room was in a tired condition and could usefully do with a refresh - painting, sockets, bedside light was missing a switch on one side of the bed. Good shower but a relatively small cubicle and no specific overhead lighting. Good option of a £5 drinks voucher if you don’t require a housekeeping visit during your stay (ours was 2 nights)

The dining room experience was very good. They served a group of 7 of us and we had the back of the dining room to ourselves. Anyone staying here needs to be aware that this part of London is on the up and coming side, so expect there to be a fair amount of poverty still evident. Eclectic decor and extremely convenient to the train as well… the only concern was when checking in out front desk man gave us the wrong key to the wrong room…. The critique would be that the fit and finish of the room was dated and there were fixtures that had duck tape on them next to a broken light in our bedroom. Also, Some of the tiles in the bathroom need replacing.
