Seriously noisy, built above the underground line

I booked a room without windows as I’m happy with a quiet and dark room. What the hotel fail to tell you is that the room is in the basement just above the tube line. The noise was extremely loud, as in too loud to sleep. When I asked if they could move me the receptionist was clearly aware of the issue, but said they were fully booked. I then asked to check out and get a refund and they magically found a room on the 3rd floor with a broken TV. There is some noise even on this floor but not enough to cause an issue unless you’re an exceptionally light sleeper. It was really disappointing to have to ask to check out in order to get a room change. The hotel are doing their guests a huge disservice by not warning about the noise from the tube line. I will not stay here again.

Great value in Paddington

I was looking for an easy and well-priced hotel for a one-night business stop in London. Point A in Paddington ticked all the boxes. The room was small but clean and had everything I needed. It felt a little cold when I entered but the thermostat sorted that out.

Small and quaint but very clean!

It was wonderful! I was very happy with everything! The rooms were super clean. The beds were comfortable. The room was small but it did its job, we were there to see London not sit in a room.

Lovely aroma

Smooth check-in, clean room with a very pleasant smell. I had booked a windowless room because they were the cheapest. The noise from passing underground trains could disturb some guests in these basement rooms. But choose a room with a window and you won’t hear the tube.

Prebooked online ( via Expedia). Easy to navigate site. Within walking distance to mainline Paddington Station for mainline trains , taxis and underground trains Stayed one night, a nice welcome from the staff at reception. The room was compact, with all the essentials. A comfy bed, clean shower room, quiet and comfortable. A good selection of continental breakfast with a helpful and friendly staff. Will definitely recommend and book again. Thank you for making it so comfortable and convenient.
