Staff were quick to check me in. The building has a lot of character and charm. Firm beds. The tube is two minutes away.

Disappointing Stay

Hotel is very dated and shabby. The heating did not work in my room and it was very cold. I booked two nights under separate reservation numbers (as I added a second night on at a later date). On returning home I discovered have been charged an extra £60 for not checking out in between?! Despite staying in the same room both nights. I am trying to sort this with Radisson customer services currently, who are most unhelpful. On day 2, I also had to request my room was cleaned because on returning to the hotel late afternoon it had not been touched and I had no clean towels or cups. This meant I had to vacate the room again for an hour, making me late to an evening event I had planned. On a plus side the reception staff were absolutely wonderful and are a credit to the hotel.

The location is amazing. Very close to the underground station. There are stairs to access the building (approx 8-12?) so if you have mobility issues it might cuz a problem. The hotel is a maze and the elevator is very small. The rooms are also quite small as well. The breakfast was absolutely wonderful and definitely worth adding to your stay. If you don't mind the small inconveniences (small rooms and stairs) it is a great hotel in a very safe and great location. I would stay here again if I was returning to London. The gym was also very nice. It does have a very small fridge if you are looking for a fridge.

This property is gorgeous and the room and bathroom were updated and clean. David at the front desk was very professional and hospitable and helped with my baggage. The bar area was fun and they made great drinks. This is located right by the metro so made it easy to get around town. I’ll definitely be back!

Good but not great

The hotel in itself was ok with a nice enough restaurant. But the room didn’t have a table and was way too compact. The bed was very close to the window with almost no space to get to the window.

Great stay!

I was really pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Yes it feels dated and in need of modernising in a few areas, but I hear that's coming this year. The corridors are a bit of a maze too, so would be annoying if you had lots of heavy cases The staff were incredibly friendly, the bar is a good place to hang out, and the Premium room I opted for was big and spacious. The only thing was that anyone over five foot eight would struggle with the shower as it's tiny Other than that, wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

The staff were fine, checkin was delayed until after 4pm, the room was cold - theyprovided portable heaters but they did not regulate temperature well, the bathroom area was especially cold.

Good location, clean hotel. However, we were in rm 29 and the air conditioner was incredibly noisy and would not suit anyone easily kept awake. At breakfast, the whole hotel descended for breakfast at the same time. Most items ran out, fo £15 all I got was some scrambled egg and a piece of toast!

Good location close to museums and transit. Services offered may allow it to be a 4 star, but room furnishings more like a 2 star. Very dated and worn. Stayed 10 nites but only requested cleaning 3 times and on each occasion housekeeping left something undone from no facecloth, to not replacing coffee or water supplies to leaving dirtly glasses. Front desk did correct and offered free breakfast as compensation. Also when i checked in they showed me 4 rooms as the initial one I was assigned was supposed to be a superior single but had no desk and had a chemical odor. So make sure if anything not right to tell front desk immediately.

You Deserve Better

The location is fantastic; just steps from the Gloucester Road Underground Station. Also within walking distance to museums, great restaurants, Tesco (grocery store) and more. Staff were friendly, attentive, helpful, professional, personable and informative. For these reasons, this is a nice place to stay. However, the hotel is in serious need of maintenance and a deep cleaning. My room was poorly maintained (carpet, chair, desk) are disgustingly filthy. They are all covered in stains, the desk has a sticky residue and the carpet was coming undone. A particularly disturbing problem is the door to room 340. It does not have a threshold. There is a gap about 1.5-2 inches from the floor allowing light, cold air and noise from the hallway to come through. This is also a safety concern. If you plan to sleep, shower and spend the remainder of your time moving about London, the hotel will just do. If you want more of your hotel, DO NOT STAY HERE until the hotel has had a deep cleaning, refreshing and proper maintenance.

Nice hotel, but perhaps needs some TLC and minor improvements. Breakfast was extortionate, and heating poor in the room. Not enough tea bags, kettle was very slow to boil. Shower wasn't tall enough and drained slowly.
