Another great stay at the Southgate Hotel. This has been our ‘go to’ hotel in London over the last year or so. Highly recommend the breakfasts here too - sets you up brilliantly for the day! We’ll be back again later this summer….

Great location, five minutes from Southgate train station/ bus stop. Amazing food in walking distance (Ella’s bakery and Izabella were standouts) quieter and cheaper than central London but not too far of a train ride into the city.

Pleasant enough stay

It was an ok hotel , clean and warm, we didn’t use the gym. The breakfast was not very nice, chicken sausages tough as old boots, nothing was hot just Luke warm, still I ended up with beans on toast which was ok , a few nice pastries and a little fruit and same with cheese. Fruit juice and coffee was ok. Staff were friendly enough, a few people sat around on lap tops (sun of the times I suppose ) It was a good location, quite a few cafes of different cultures nearby and the underground was only round the corner

Amazing 2 night stay. Hotel felt and smelt new with the room spacious, modern with a great tv, bed and shower. Service by all staff were friendly, efficient, professional and courteous. Breakfast plentiful and tasty. Hotel in the middle of Southgate, for bars, shops, cafes and a great location for attending a football match at Arsenal or Tottenham stadium. Hotel is very close to the tube for a 30 min ride into central London. Will return.

Good but a long way from the city centre

A clean, bright, modern hotel with interesting cafes nearby. Comfortable and quiet, especially on the fourth floor. We may have made a mistake booking this as it was further from the city centre than we'd realised, although it is on the Piccadilly line. This was exacerbated for us because there was a closure on the underground on the Saturday morning and we had to go on a rail replacement bus. For that reason, and only that reason, I probably wouldn't stay here again.

I recently stayed at this hotel for three nights and had a mostly positive experience. The hotel was clean, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast offered a good variety of tasty options. The location was convenient, and parking was hassle-free—a big plus! However, the stay was quite expensive, which is something to consider. The first two nights were peaceful, and I slept well, but unfortunately, my third night was disrupted by a noisy neighbour, which kept me awake and affected my next day’s work. Overall, I’d recommend this hotel for its cleanliness, service, and amenities, but it would be great if management could address noise issues—perhaps by better enforcing quiet hours—to ensure all guests have a restful stay.

Very nicely kept hotel and friendly staff, just round the corner from the Southgate tube. Lots of decent local restaurants (mostly Greek or Mediterranean). Would definitely stay again if I was in that area.

Lovely welcoming modern hotel near tube station

This is a gem of a hotel, everything is new and clean and tastefully decorated. My room was spacious and comfortable and there was a good TV, WiFi and shower. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Parking is available at extra charge. Hot and cold breakfast is available at a reasonable price and is good. Nice bar and lounge serving only alcohol free beverages. Southgate tube station is 5 minutes walk away. Very convenient. I would definitely stay again.
